After a lot of thought and a very heavy heart, I need to share that Porchlight Pantry will be closing, at least for a while.
Even though our time has been short, this bakery meant so much to me. It was a place of creativity, connection, and comfort, and I’m incredibly grateful for every single person who supported it, whether you stopped by once or became a regular. You helped make this dream real.
Unfortunately, my health has taken a turn. I’ve recently been diagnosed with four new chronic illnesses, with the possibility of more still to come, on top of the two I was already managing. It’s been overwhelming, and I’ve had to face the reality that I can’t continue running the bakery while taking care of myself the way I need to especially with the new routines that I will need to learn.
I’m deeply sad and honestly very disappointed that things have to end this way. This isn’t the outcome I ever wanted, and letting go of Porchlight Pantry is incredibly hard for me as I spent so much time planning and building.
This isn’t goodbye forever. I truly hope to reopen at some point in the near future, when my health allows it. Porchlight Pantry is still a dream I’m holding onto.
Thank you for your kindness, your support, and for being part of this journey with me—even for a short time. It has truly meant more than I can put into words.

Hey friends! I will not be putting out the stand this weekend! Instead, I’ll be constructing a google form for orders!
You will be able to order Tuesday-Friday and plan to pick up Saturday-Monday at your convenience!

Hi everyone! I’ve been noticing that I often have quite a bit left over at the stand at the end of each day, so I’m thinking about trying something new.
How would you feel about an order form? You could place orders Tuesday through Friday, with pickup available Saturday through Monday. I’d also be happy to offer delivery within a 30-minute radius for an additional fee.
My goal is to cut down on food waste and create a more sustainable schedule. I’d love to hear your thoughts!

Due to the storms expected this morning and several vendor cancellations, we’ve made the decision to cancel today’s Standifer Gap Makers Market.

We know this is disappointing, and we were so looking forward to seeing everyone—but we didn’t want to risk a poor experience for our vendors or our community.

Thank you so much for your understanding and continued support. We can’t wait to be back next month with better weather and an even better market day 🤍

Tomorrow we will only have banana bread, sandwich bread, and scones out!
