🍠 Sweet Potato Scone
A warm, cozy sweet potato base topped with a marshmallow topping that is about to BLOW. YOUR. SOCKS. OFF.

It’s giving fall. It’s giving sweet potato casserole in scone form. It’s giving you better set an alarm. 😂

My Facebook and Instagram messages are always open, but if you need to get ahold of me about an order, a class, a custom inquiry, or really anything Smoker Sourdough Co. related… EMAIL IS YOUR GIRL. 😂

Between my personal Facebook, business page, Instagram, notifications, comments, messages, and approximately 47 other things happening at any given moment, DMs can get lost in the sauce.

Sometimes I open a message and fully intend to respond… and then a child needs something and my brain deletes the task. Sometimes my kids have my phone and apparently enjoy opening things for me. Very helpful assistants. 10/10. 😂

And then three days later I find your message and feel TERRIBLE because I absolutely would’ve responded sooner if my life wasn’t one giant notification center.

I know, I know… you want that direct social-media access to your bread lady and I love that for us. 😂 But if it’s something you actually need an answer to, please shoot me an email!

Remember when I said I was having an EASY week????
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Apparently the bread gang heard that and took it personally. 😂

Orders started coming in so fast that my website literally FROZE and I couldn’t even get back into it fast enough to shut preorders down. So if you snuck an order in during the chaos… honestly, respect. 😂👏🏼

Then I went to Costco tonight and had a very humbling realization.

There are a few things in the cart for my children.
The other 95%??? CINNAMON ROLL SUPPLIES.
FOR ONE ITEM.
ONE. SINGLE. ITEM. 😂

So anyway, my “light little Labor Day week” has officially turned into another massive bake week and your girl will be elbow-deep in butter, brown sugar and cinnamon for the foreseeable future.

If you’ve met me even ONE time, you already know I am painfully extroverted. 😂

I love people. I love talking. I love making friends. I could make a new bestie in the Target checkout line if given enough time.

And honestly, one of my favorite parts of this whole sourdough journey has been meeting other people who love doing the same thing I do.
Somehow through the magical world of the internet, I found Jess, owner of Giant House Farms in Michigan, and for the last several months we’ve been cheering each other on from states away. Sharing ideas, talking shop, celebrating wins, complaining about the chaos and reminding each other that we’re capable of doing this crazy thing.

And THAT is the energy I will always have.

If you’re making sourdough for the first time, I’m cheering you on.
If you decide to start selling it, I’m cheering you on.
If you’re building something from scratch, serving your community, creating with your own two hands and figuring it out as you go, I’m cheering you on.
There is room for more than one person at the table. There is room for more than one baker. There is room for more than one good idea.

And the really cool thing about having your own ideas is… you don’t have to borrow somebody else’s, slap a new name on them and start teaching people how to do it. 😂🤭
But I digress.😆

Community over competition will forever be my thing. I want to see good people win, even when they’re doing something similar to me.

Just be original while you do it. 😘

One of my favorite things is spotting bread friends OUT IN THE WILD!😂🥖

The other night I was at Target with my family and someone stopped me to say hi… and she was WEARING MY MERCH. I about lost it. Like yes girl!!! REPRESENT.

Then yesterday at Hersheypark I got stopped again!

So please know, if you see me out living my non-bread life, SAY HI. I promise I’d love to chat for a minute and find out which one of you has been keeping me employed.🤣

And if you’d rather continue ordering from me every week while remaining completely anonymous and never revealing your identity… honestly, I respect that level of mystery too.
