CAKE COLLAB:
Ricci Milstead-Henderson and I have been friends since the 90’s. My 40th birthday cake was one of her earlier works. She and I have been to Cake Camp and Cookie Con together. We go to baking events together but have never caked/baked togerher. I just play in the kitchen as a hobby baker and she has evolved into a cake artist. Go check out her page Sweets by Ricci if you want to see some amazing edible art. She came to visit me in Germany last week and we did our first ever cake collaboration. I baked, made the icing, shaped and iced the cake. I showed Ricci a few pictures of some purses and went to work and left her in my kitchen. When I returned it was covered in fondant and had the Louis stamp and zipper. We discussed and added handles and detailing together. This purple Louis Vuitton purse cake for Michelle Baker’s 50th birthday was the outcome. It is a yellow cake with vanilla bourbon buttercream. Invite by me as well.
