This is the 1st King Cake from Effie's Goodies! This version has a cream cheese filling. I made it for home as a test bake. I'm definitely happy with it. It nearly blew out of my Bundt pan! I didn't have purple sanding sugar so I used lilac instead. I think that's close enough. Laissez faire bon temps rouler!

Another delicious creation from Effie's Goodies! These Cinnamon Pecan Sticky Rolls were delivered hot out of the oven to a neighbor. I can't get them to you hot out of the oven but I would be happy to make a pan of them for you. There are 10 rolls baked in a 9 inch round pan. They are covered with homemade caramel after coming out of the oven. SO good! The holidays & entertaining days are coming up. Come on, you know you want some! #effiesgoodies
It's that time of year, baking season! Fresh from the oven are these 2 loaves of Cinnamon Swirl Raisin Walnut Bread! It smells delicious in here. We will be keeping one of these loaves. Effie's Goodies was honored to make this small wedding cake for a very special couple. The wedding was postponed from last week (darn Covid) until next June. So this couple did what I'm sure many young couples are doing in the time of Covid, postponing the wedding until the climate is safer and having a small ceremony because they really want to be married! This cake is 6 layers of white almond sour cream cake filled with seedless raspberry preserves and buttercream, covered in buttercream, buttercream rosettes with individually hand placed white pearls, sparkling sanding sugar, and a crown of white chocolate curls and a bottom border of shaved white chocolate. I wanted a piece of this cake so badly! Congratulations go out to Emi & Jay! Can't wait until we get to celebrate with you next summer!

Yum, Cinnamon Swirl Pecan Raisin Bread! Tried something a little different this time. There's a bit of the cinnamon brown sugar mixture on the exterior of the bread for some nice carmelization.

Effie's Goodies had a very busy day yesterday. These photos are but a couple of the items that came out of the kitchen. Sometimes I get so busy and into what I'm doing that I forget to take photos🙂 Tsoureki (Greek Easter Bread), Pastitisio (Greek Pasta Bake with a Cheesy Bechamel Sauce), Pork Pie and Cherry Pie were on yesterday's calendar. Effie's Goodies has been SO busy for the past month so it's nice to be sitting here watching & listening to Me First And The Gimme Gimmes with my honey & Scott. Here are a couple of photos of items that left Effie's Goodies today. The cake with the multi colored flowers is actually a "Pake"-a fully baked, homemade apple pie inside of a spice caked covered in cream cheese frosting. The white cake is a special order that I hope brings back happy memories to the person that ordered it. It is a double layer Buttermilk Devil's Food Cake covered with vanilla boiled icing.
