I know it’s been awhile since I posted anything, and it’s partly because my Stepdad passed away on the 6th of February after he lost his battle with ALS. Thankfully I was able to be in PA before he passed and spend the week after with my mom. It also worked out that I didn’t have any cakes to bake until I got back!!

The two cakes that helped brighten the beginning of my week were for a sweet little lady turning one!! I made her a vanilla smash cake with vanilla buttercream for her pictures, and the cutest funfetti cloud cake for her party with her family!! I hope she had the best birthday and everyone enjoyed the cake!!

It’s been a minute since I posted a cake, but I have definitely been staying busy between the full time job, and wedding samplers with some amazing couples!! But check out this beauty… it’s strawberry cake with a chocolate ganache filling, strawberry buttercream, a chocolate ganache drip, mini chocolate chips, and some fresh strawberries and chocolate covered strawberries on top 🤤!! I hope the birthday girl loved it!!

This birthday boy is near and dear to my heart, his Mom and I became friends when we worked night shift together!! I’ve had the honor of making his birthday cake every year, and this year he finally enjoyed a whole slice of cake (instead of a couple bites 😂)!! It’s a 3 layer strawberry cake with vanilla buttercream, and he loves Thomas the Train, so Thomas and some of his friends had to be there!! HAPPY THANKSGIVING 🦃!!! I am so blessed and thankful that I get to make cakes and cupcakes for special occasions in peoples lives!!!

With that being said, I got to make my first geode cake this week!! I used gold rock candy to represent Novembers birthstone, Citrine!! I added some gold leaf around the opening, and made the center a little darker with some food coloring!! The cake itself is Chocolate Cake with vanilla buttercream!! Thank you January and Ki, for asking me to make such an awesome cake!!
