It's that time of year my friends! Our annual holiday donation/toy drive has begun! You can help reach 1000's of foster and adopted kids in Maine by clicking the post, the donation page is in the comments (or reach out to me directly)!
*** A quick reminder that there is still time left to donate some funds to help kids in foster care and the adoption process right here in your community - I know we all get busy this time of year and everyone has their hand out, but we hope you consider chipping in if you're able. Forecastle's motto is Family First, Always. I can't imagine being a child without a family, much less on Christmas. Stay tuned for other ways you can help us try to put a dent in the overwhelming number of kids who are less fortunate this holiday season. ***
Good Morning Forecastle Family, Mrs. Forecastle here (aka Mrs. Claus). It's THAT TIME OF YEAR! 🤶 Our 3rd Annual Holiday Donation and Toy Drive is underway. Last year your generous donations helped us reach over 60 children, as well as 20 families with meal assistance with an additional $1,500 that was donated to KidsPeace. I honestly still tear up every time I think of how Sam and I felt last Christmas Eve when we had everything totaled up. This year we will be working with a couple of local organizations, and to start things off, Adoptive & Foster Families of Maine & Kinship Program is striving to meet over 1000 requests from the families they serve. AFFM's mission is to provide the training, guidance, knowledge and resources needed to handle complex issues encountered by resource families as they open their hearts and homes to children in need. Services are at no cost to families served. AFFM is still about 15K away from their goal and every last little bit helps. We have put together a donation page through the Forecastle paypal business account (linked below in comments), as always, if you prefer to donate by check or cash please feel free to snail mail to the shop at 60 May St, Bangor ME, 04401 OR reach out to Sam or myself and I would be happy to stop by or let you know when we will be at the shop to accept donations. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for helping us to reach so many Maine families. A very Merry Christmas, and Happiest of Holidays to you all.
