On Saturday July 26, 2025 at 9:08 PM, the Township of Hamilton Police Department responded to Route 40 in the area of Walmart Drive for motor vehicle crash involving an E-Bike.
Preliminary investigation revealed a 2014 Cadillac Escalade, operated by Khemchand Seepersad (55) of Millville, was traveling eastbound on Route 40. A seventeen year-old male from Mays Landing, who was operating an Engwe Class 3 E-Bike, was also traveling in the eastbound lane of Route 40 when the collision occurred.
The juvenile male was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and sustained non-life-threatening injuries. He was transported via ambulance to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City for further evaluation. Seepersad was not injured and was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash. The roadway was shut down for approximately two hours while the scene was investigated. Charges are pending further investigation.
