On Saturday July 26, 2025 at 9:08 PM, the Township of Hamilton Police Department responded to Route 40 in the area of Walmart Drive for motor vehicle crash involving an E-Bike.

Preliminary investigation revealed a 2014 Cadillac Escalade, operated by Khemchand Seepersad (55) of Millville, was traveling eastbound on Route 40. A seventeen year-old male from Mays Landing, who was operating an Engwe Class 3 E-Bike, was also traveling in the eastbound lane of Route 40 when the collision occurred.

The juvenile male was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and sustained non-life-threatening injuries. He was transported via ambulance to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City for further evaluation. Seepersad was not injured and was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash. The roadway was shut down for approximately two hours while the scene was investigated. Charges are pending further investigation.

Also assisting on scene was the Township of Hamilton Rescue Squad, AtlantiCare Paramedics, and the Egg Harbor Township Police Department. If anyone witnessed the crash, please contact Ofc. Mandela of the Township of Hamilton Police Department at (609) 625-2700 ext. 824.

On December 12, 2024, at approximately 4:30PM, Nala Monsegue-Parker (14 yoa) was reported missing from her residence. Nala is approximately 5’4” tall and weighs approximately 135 lbs. She was last seen wearing a black marvel hooded sweatshirt, light green jeans, and red and white “Air Force One” sneakers. Anyone that locates Nala is asked to contact the Egg Harbor Township Police Department at 609-927-5200.

It's been a tradition for many families including the Elco, Savell, Glassey and Carmen families and others for up to six-plus decades. This year the Mainland Devil Tornadoes tied with the Islander Pirate Rams 32-32.

Join Penny Angels Beagle Rescue (PABR) Sept. 10 for its 2nd Annual Beagle Barbecue.

The event will be from 12 noon to 4 pm at the Atlantic County Park Pavilion A (near the playground & restrooms), in Estell Manor. For directions to the park, go to www.aclink.org.

Tickets to the event are $15 per adult and $7 per child aged four to 10; kids under four attend free.

Tickets for the Beagle Barbecue can be purchased with cash or check at PetSmart in Mays Landing, Sept. 2 from 11-1:30 pm, or on the day of the Beagle Barbecue (Sept 10, 12-4 pm) at the Atlantic County Park in Estell Manor, Pavilion A.

Tickets can also be purchased through PayPal by going to http://pennyangelsbeaglerescue.com/donations/index.htm by Friday, Sept. 8. You would need to pay with a Pay Pal account or credit card. When paying for your tickets, please include a note with your name, address, email, and number of tickets purchased (adult or kids). Tickets will be held at the Admission Table at Pavilion A on the day of the Barbecue.

During the event, attendees will enjoy food and soft drinks; music;
Kid games; a 50/50 and Bucket Auction, and a Beagle Parade.
There will be a Best Dressed Costume Contest for the dogs. There will also be a Blessing of the Animals. ALL friendly, leashed dog breeds invited.

Adequate seating is available but we encourage you to bring your own chairs, blankets, umbrellas, or tents for added comfort!

Parking is available in the small Lot at Pavilion A OR just beyond Lot A on the right side of the road (in an open field). Since we will also be able to use Pavilion B, you can park in that lot but will have to walk across the grass field to get to Pavilion A. Please be considerate of others and ONLY park in designated parking areas.

NO PARKING IS ALLOWED ON THE MAIN ROAD.
