This is just so sad! Support our local dairy farm! They have some of the best milk and we are proud to use it drink it! Even their chocolate is some of the best milk we’ve ever had! We promise you need it! 🥛

Great news for Louisiana’s cottage food producers!

HB 403 is now headed to the Governor’s desk.

Over the past two years, I’ve heard from cottage food producers throughout our community and across Louisiana. They shared their stories, their challenges, and their desire for more room to grow their businesses.

Whether they’re selling baked goods, jams, candies, or other homemade products, these small business owners are working hard, serving their communities, and contributing to our local economy.

This legislation increases the annual cottage food gross sales cap from $30,000 to $100,000, helping home-based entrepreneurs continue to grow while maintaining existing food safety requirements.

Thank you to the many cottage food producers who reached out, testified, emailed, and shared their experiences. Your voices helped make this possible.

I look forward to seeing this bill signed into law and helping Louisiana’s small businesses continue to thrive.
