Today is our anniversary June 29th, also our closing day too today.... my wife had a thought, I had a vision... I sat outside on a bench in front of what is now the Kirsch building, on a chilly May morning back in 2014. I sat out there from about 630 in the morning till about 1230, counting the foot traffic.... I saw many people that morning that was in eye sight.. I looked around at every detail, what's available to eat, what buildings were vacant.. (ours included for nine years).... I knew the old Hallmark was the spot for new life in downtown Hamilton... my wife said "let's call it High St. Cafe... the sound of it stuck! We loved the name.... we worked hard for the next 11 months to give the dormant building of 9 years life again..... We were one of the first ones to set up shop in a slower business district at that time... we are all proud of what we accomplished over the years... won many awards, made great friends.. Today marks an end to an epic journey we created over the years, but opens new adventures as well.. we have passion, pride, and most especially LOVE for this type of business!!! Today we want to thank everyone who has shared the love that we have... and if it wasn't for those who supported us over the years with a thriving business, others may not be here to say the same thing.... we look forward to new adventures... and look forward to bring the LOVE again to The Coach House in the fall..... we will never forget the memories and friends we have made over the years!!!!
