What a great start to our Back to School Bucket Drive! We’re off to an encouraging beginning, but we still need your help to reach our goal of 20 buckets.
Donations are being accepted on Wednesdays from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Halifax Farmers Market & Market Place

Our Summer Squash Medley recipe is a tasty and nutritious vegetable side dish for the summer months. Shop local to find squash, which is in-season in Virginia during the summer months (June-September).
Tips:
- Zucchini is a great addition to this recipe.
- For a different flavor, use cilantro instead of basil and add a can of black beans.
- Serve in whole grain tortillas.
- You can use low-sodium canned diced tomatoes (drained) in place of fresh.
