Fairly Free Farm Share
Summer Update:
We’ll be to open to more volunteer hours most week days! Sign Up is still required, but we keep it simple. Most work gets done in the morning, so there's plenty of time for fun in the afternoons. More info in the group linked in comments
Here is the current rhythm of life on the farm most week days:
7:30-8:30 breakfast/coffee
8:30-12:30 plant/weed/harvest/feed
12:30-1:30 lunch/rest
1:30-2:30 reset kitchen/dishes
2:30-5:30 relax/swim/art/read
5:30-6:30 make dinner/indoor chores
6:30-8:30 music/games/movies
Next Month, we’ll host a Fairly Free Duck Dinner, which will include a Fairly Free Duck butchering class. Let me know if you're interested & I'll make sure you get all the details. We'll have plenty of other volunteer tasks that day if you like to eat duck, but aren't into butchering. We'll be making a lovely garden fresh meal & setting a beautiful table in the Twinkle Room.
The gift barn is filled with lots of useful & beautiful goods for volunteers to take home as a token of our appreciation for helping on the farm.
One last thing: our sweet farm hand, Abby, is moving. We'll miss her terribly, but are so excited for her new opportunities. Rather than look for another full-time live-in farm hand, we'll offer short-term work-stays. If you, or someone you know might be interested in staying in our basement guest room, we offer room/board for volunteer farm help. 4 hours per day or 20 hours per week per person. 6 hours per day or 30 hours per week for couples. Pool, hottub, sauna, outdoor movies, firepit, yard games, board games, craft space, organic meals included.
