🍸 **Some people want flowers on their birthday cake.**

Some people want Patrón and money.

I support both lifestyles. 😂

This one was just FUN.

The bright green drip, the bottle, the edible money… absolutely nothing subtle happening here and that was precisely the point.

One of my favorite parts of making custom cakes is that they can actually reflect the person they’re being made for.

So no, your adult birthday cake does not have to suddenly become tasteful just because you’re a grown-up.

Where would be the fun in that? 💚

🏀 **And then there are the orders where I get to play with cupcakes.**

I’ve always liked making a dozen cupcakes feel like more than just twelve identical cupcakes in a box.

A few basketballs, some Knicks toppers, a personalized number, plenty of sprinkles… suddenly everybody is fighting over which one they want. 😂

Which, for the record, I consider a successful cupcake order.

Team colors, favorite players, jersey numbers, school sports… there are SO many ways to personalize these without needing a full custom cake.

And yes, the birthday kid gets first pick. Probably. 🏀

🤍 **Some cakes don’t need much.**

This was one of those designs where I knew adding more would actually take something away.

Simple white buttercream, a gold cross and hoop, and fresh baby’s breath.

That’s it.

And I loved it.

As much as I enjoy the crazy themed cakes and tiny edible details, I really love getting to make cakes for the quieter family milestones too.

Sometimes simple really does win. 🤍

🐝 **A little reminder that I don’t only do birthdays.**

I made these logo cookies for Jetset Modern Pilates, and I loved how clean and simple they turned out.

There’s something oddly satisfying about taking a business logo and figuring out how to make it edible.

Corporate events, grand openings, employee gifts, customer thank-yous, launches… branded cookies are such an easy way to add something custom without requiring everyone at the office to gather ceremoniously around a sheet cake at 2:17 on a Tuesday. 😂

Although I will absolutely make that cake too.

🌹✂️ **THIS is exactly why I love custom cakes.**

Beauty and the Beast… but make it hairdresser.

With Diet Coke.

Because obviously. 😂

I love when someone comes to me with an idea that sounds completely random on paper and says, “Do you think you can somehow put all of this together?”

YES.

Those are some of my favorite cakes to make.

Your cake doesn’t have to match something you found on Pinterest. Tell me what they love. Tell me the weird inside joke. Tell me their hobby, favorite movie, job, drink, obsession…

Give me the puzzle pieces and let me figure out the cake. ❤️

🎓 **Cookie decorating is one of those things that always starts innocently.**

“I’ll just make a few coordinating designs.”

And then suddenly there are six shades of icing on the counter, twelve piping bags, edible paint everywhere and I’m emotionally invested in a tiny frosting tassel. 😂

I loved how these graduation cookies came together.

Custom cookies are also one of my favorite options when you want something personalized but don’t necessarily need another giant dessert at the party. They work for favors, dessert tables, gifts or, frankly, eating one in the car before anyone knows how many were actually in the box.

No evidence. No crime. 🎓

🖤 **Still one of my favorites.**

Every once in a while I finish a cake and think, *Yep. I’d make that exact cake again.*

This was one of those.

Black, gold, a little texture, a little drama and absolutely no need to throw seventeen different things on it just because I could.

Although restraint and I are not always close friends. 😂

I love getting to bounce between completely different styles with this job. One week it’s Winnie the Pooh and honey pots, the next it’s black and gold and grown-up.

Keeps things interesting. 🖤✨

🍯 **This one still makes me happy.**

There’s something about a whole dessert setup coming together that I love even more than making one beautiful cake.

For this Winnie the Pooh first birthday, I got to carry the theme through everything: the cake, cookies, cupcakes and chocolate-covered treats. All those tiny little details tying everything together are absolutely my kind of thing. 🐝

And apparently I have a weakness for tiny honey pots. Who knew?

One thing I haven’t talked about much on here is that you don’t have to stop at a cake. I can put together the whole dessert side of your party, whether that means a few coordinating treats or a full dessert table.

You give me the theme.

I’ll happily disappear down the rabbit hole figuring out what we can turn into dessert. 😂

And yes, I realize that was the wrong storybook. 🍯🐝

🐝 Well… look who decided to start posting again.

I realized recently that if you only followed Sweet Bee’z here on Facebook, you might think I quietly disappeared.

I didn’t. ❤️

I’ve still been baking. Still decorating. Still taking your ideas that start with “Okay, this might sound weird…” and figuring out how to turn them into cake.

I just stopped being very good at sharing any of it.

Life got busy. Priorities shifted. Facebook got neglected. And somewhere along the way I became the baker with approximately 4,000 pictures of cakes on her phone and about six of them actually posted. 😂

But Sweet Bee’z has always been a piece of me that I love, and lately I’ve been feeling the pull to give this little corner of my world some attention again.

So that’s what I’m doing. 🐝

Over the next few weeks I’m going to dig into that ridiculous camera roll and share some of what I’ve been creating behind the scenes, some old favorites that never made it here, and hopefully plenty of new creations too.

And yes, I’m taking custom orders. 🎂 I have limited openings left through October, so if you have something coming up, now is a good time to get on my calendar.

Cakes, cookies, cupcakes, dessert tables, celebrations big and small… and especially those wonderfully specific ideas you aren’t quite sure anyone can make.

Those are usually my favorite.

Sweet Bee’z never left.

CHEESECAKE. 🍓

Because sometimes you don’t need fondant, piping or an elaborate theme.

Sometimes you need cheesecake absolutely buried beneath strawberries. Sometimes you need it bigger, for more people. Because who doesn't love that creamy goodness buried under sweet berries
I respect both lifestyles. 😂
