Happy Monday, everyone! Hope y’all had as good of a weekend as we did!

Lauren spent hers reading in her hammock 📚, Aubrey went hunting 🦌, and Michael and I watched cross country and The GA Bridgemen at Battle on the Border! 🎺🏃‍♂️

We may all spend our weekdays together talking insurance, but we stay pretty busy doing our own things on the weekends! 😂

Y’all, there is no better way to spend a Friday morning in October than at Hahira Elementary’s Trick-the-Track event. 🎃 👻 I tried to pass out business cards, but Aubrey made me pass out candy. 🤪 Nothing beats their little “thank you” after giving them a treat. It melts my heart every time.

Guys. I can’t even. 😂 I know that Michael NEVER ages, but can you believe that some people have mistaken him for my son. 😮 Yes, you read that right. I’m not sure whether I should be offended or start asking for his skin care routine. 😂😂

All jokes aside, getting to work alongside my husband is something I’m truly thankful for. We get to share the good days, the crazy days, and everything in between.

Now make this old lady feel better about herself and tell me how much older Michael looks than me. 😂😂

Celebrating National Farmer’s Day! 🌾🚜

This picture brings back so many memories. When my son was little the highlight of his day was to get to sit on a tractor with my dad. My dad farmed when I was growing up, so I had a front-row seat to the hard work, long hours, and sacrifices that come with farming.

Growing up that way gave me a deep appreciation for the people who work tirelessly to feed our families and keep our communities going. Farming is more than a job , it’s a way of life that takes dedication, resilience, and a whole lot of heart.

Today, we celebrate the farmers who work behind the scenes, through every season and every kind of weather, to provide so much for all of us. We’re grateful for you and all you do! 🌱

Behind every letter, package, birthday card, and special delivery is a postal worker helping keep our communities connected!

Today, we’re celebrating World Post Day and showing a little love to our very own Hahira Post Office! Did you know World Post Day is celebrated every year on October 9th to recognize the role postal services play in connecting people and businesses around the world? 🌎

🏤 A few fun facts:
📬 The Universal Postal Union was established in 1874 to help make international mail delivery easier.
💌 Postal services do more than deliver mail, they help connect families, support local businesses, and bring important information right to our doorsteps.
🚚 In a small town like Hahira, our local post office is an important part of what keeps our community running!

We also want to give a special shout-out to two of the friendly faces serving our community: Jimeson, a mail carrier who has been with the post office for 2 years, and Tim, a clerk who has been there for 8 years! Thank you both for the work you do to keep Hahira connected. ❤️📦

We believe strong communities are built by the people who show up and serve their neighbors every day. Today, we’re thankful for our local postal team and all they do!

It’s so fun walking down the sidewalks of Hahira and seeing folks out and about. Last week I ran into Matt Johnson, owner of City Barber Shop. I learned that Matt took over the business 3 years ago from his Uncle Jimmy who had owned it since 1966. He specializes in men’s cuts but will happily welcome anyone!

Where there is a barber pole, there will be a barber. 💈 Did you know the iconic red, white, and blue stripes have a history dating back centuries? They are a classic symbol of the barbering trade and a reminder of the tradition, craftsmanship, and community that come with a good old-fashioned barbershop. 💈✂

We’re proud to partner with the City of Hahira Fire Department and help support their fire-safety education efforts this Fire Prevention Week! 🚒❤️

We recently donated a Fire Prevention Week safety kit to the department, and we’re so glad to see our local firefighters putting these resources to work in our community.

Fire Prevention Week is October 4–10, 2026, and this year’s theme is “Charge into Fire Safety: Safe Charging Is a Superpower.” The campaign focuses on safely charging the lithium-ion batteries found in everyday devices like phones, laptops, tools, toys, e-bikes and scooters. Simple habits—like using the manufacturer-approved charger, charging on a hard surface, and unplugging devices when they’re fully charged can help prevent fires.

A huge THANK YOU to the folks at the City of Hahira Fire Department for keeping our community safe and for teaching others how to do the same. We’re grateful for you! ❤️🚒

I bet you didn’t know there was an amazing yoga studio AND clogging classes right here in Hahira! I’d say it’s the best-kept secret, but I think this picture of a group of smiling faces proves it’s not really a secret, it’s just one of Hahira’s many treasures! 💎🧘‍♀️

Meet Sissie Tait, who moved her jewelry store, Sissie’s Jewels and Treasures, from Lakeland to Hahira in 2018 after being in business there since 2007. Shortly after the move, Sissie and her husband, Todd, added a yoga studio, and I’ve been a proud patron ever since!

But that’s not all! Sissie is also a licensed massage therapist, offers clogging classes, and she and Todd are incredibly talented jewelers. I’ve personally had rings sized there, and they do beautiful work.

What makes Sissie’s so special is just how unique it is. Where else can you shop for beautiful jewelry, take a yoga class, get a massage AND learn to clog all under one roof? We are pretty lucky to have all of that right here in Hahira.

And if you know Sissie, you know she is truly one of a kind. She is colorful, positive, joyful and just an absolute ray of sunshine. ☀️ She’s one of those people who makes the world a happier place, and inspires me to be better every day.

Ok, no now the question is WHO is going to yoga with me next?! 🤣♥️
