Hi everyone,

It has been a bit more than a month since we closed the Retail shop.

The main reason we closed the shop was due to unacceptable conditions within the kitchen and shop areas.

The air conditioning unit does not work properly and has not for the entire summer season.

It has been over 98 degrees in the kitchen and over 85 in the shop on multiple occasions.
Unacceptable and unhealthy!

Chocolate begins to melt at just under 80 degrees.

We have had multiple HVAC folks come in to look at it as per our lease, we are responsible for the maintenance, i.e. filter changes, coolant recharge and basic cleaning of the coils. We spent nearly $500 for this. Each time we heard the same result...
The AC unit has a coolant leak and blower needs to be replaced; the unit is 18 years old, the blower is over 25 years old.

So, we present our findings to the Landlord and he then hires his own HVAC guy to take a look at the system.
Last visit (1 of 2) from this guy was July 24. It was a cool 94 degrees in the kitchen that afternoon.

They agreed to install a new unit within the next week and a half.
So, we closed the shop and took a short vacation so the new unit could be installed.
We cannot make or have product out while the work is being done and kitchen temperature above 78 degrees.

Nearly 2 1/2 weeks later than the system was to be installed, with still no retail sales since July 19, today, we met with yet another HVAC guy so he too could take a look and find the problem.

Guess what the problem is...
The system needs to be replaced, both AC and Heat pump are shot.

So, now we wait for the Landlord again to make a decision and then wait for the installation of the new system (or whatever he decides to do)...
All the while, no retail sales and very limited wholesale and custom work, loss of ingredients and we declined orders because we cannot store decorating ingredients or prepare our products in this kitchen. Way too hot.

There are also electrical issues in the building. Half the kitchen does not have power, lights are out (not because of old bulbs).
And, on certain days, the sump pump backs up (or something) and the smell which permeates the kitchen and shop is that of sewerage.
Again, unacceptable and unhealthy!

All in all, the place needs a lot of work and we do not have a time frame for everything to be corrected.

So, at this time, we are unsure if and when we will be re-opening...

However, ALL pending orders will be fulfilled as promised.

Unfortunately, at this time, we cannot commit to fulfilling any new orders.
It would not be fair to take your order and not be able to fulfill it in our typical, remarkable fashion.

We're glad you enjoyed the cakes!

Thank you so much for the amazing cakes you guys made for Jack's first birthday! He LOVED his smash cake, and everyone else not only thought it was delicious, but they loved the detailed design that fit perfectly with our Safari theme. It was perfect!

Hello and Happy Saturday!

We are making some changes at the Shop and for this reason, our shop is temporarily closed.
We are revamping, cleaning and going to take a long overdue and much needed Family Summer vacation...
We are not exactly sure when we'll re-open, but it shouldn't be too long.

All Retail and Wholesale orders currently in the system will be fulfilled as promised.
At this time, we are not taking any new orders.
We apologize for any inconvenience.

As of now, weather permitting, we will be at the Westmont Farmer's Market from 4PM to 7:30PM today.

Located on the corner of Haddon and Stratford Avenues in Westmont NJ, this is a nice place to stroll on a Wednesday afternoon/evening. There's plenty to see, buy and do for the whole Family!

As always, we will be serving some of your favorite remarkable dessert creations and maybe something new for you to try!

Stop on up for some dinner, produce for the week and, of course, don't forget the dessert!

Happy Sunday!

If you did not make it yesterday, today is the day to stop by and see us and the other creative vendors at the Haddonfield Crafts and Fine Arts Festival.
The Festival runs from 12PM to 5PM today on the "Best of the Best" Shopping downtowns in South Jersey, Kings Highway in Haddonfield!

We will have many of our fresh-made remarkable dessert creations, loads of blueberry desserts along with our soon-to-be-famous (BIG HIT yesterday) Chocolate Chip Ice Cream Sandwiches - - Two of our WORLD's BEST Chocolate Chip Cookies smothering a generous serving of World Famous Bassett's Ice Cream!

Also, our Daughter Olivia and her friend will again be selling $2 handmade braided string bracelets of varying colors to represent different types of cancer, i.e. Pink for Breast Cancer, Purple for Pancreatic Cancer, etc.
All proceeds, a minimum of $1 per bracelet will be donated to St. Jude Children's Research Hopsital - Finding cures. Saving Children.
If you do not want a bracelet, you can still make a donation of which 100% will be passed on to St. Jude!

The weekend weather looks to be perfect for the Haddonfield Crafts and Fine Arts Festival!

Join us, the BEST of the BEST Pastry Shop/Bakery in South Jersey according to the readers of South Jersey Magazine, and many other local businesses and artists and enjoy the creativity all have to offer.

We will have assorted Jersey Fresh Blueberry desserts, (you have to try our Blueberry Custard Tart- voted "best dessert ever!" by our customers taste test) and our in-house made Chocolate Chip Ice Cream'Wiches (2 of our WORLD's BEST Chocolate Chip Cookies smothering World Famous Bassett's Vanilla or Chocolate Ice Cream)!!

We will have a variety of our Dessert Bars including our Almost-famous Crunchy Peanut Butter Bar, The Ultimate Fudge Brownie, Almond Bar and more...

We will also provide several of our dessert breads including our 'Jersey Fresh' Zucchini Bread!

Happy Friday!

On Monday, July 7, we will be sharing some of the BEST news we have received in a long time! Stay tuned to get the BEST news from the BEST bakery in the area!

We will be closed tomorrow, Friday July 4 and are looking forward to the day off tomorrow to celebrate the 4th of July with Family and Friends!
Independence Day is a big day here in the US and in Haddonfield NJ as well.
There are a ton of outdoor events planned throughout the Borough over the next few days! If you are looking for something to do, Haddonfield has it!
