Nearly 100 years ago, a man named Constantino Del Buono came to America from Italy with a dream — and a passion for baking bread. 🇮🇹🥖

Around 1930, he opened Del Buono’s Bakery on Emerald Street in Camden after learning the trade working for another baker. What started as a neighborhood bakery quickly became part of the heartbeat of South Jersey.

Over the years, the bakery became famous not just for fresh rolls and bread, but for the quirky, ever-changing collection of giant outdoor statues — animals, cartoon characters, and larger-than-life figures that became roadside landmarks and childhood memories for so many people growing up here.

Since then, the Del Buono’s family has continued to grow with locations in Stratford and Marlton… and now, another chapter begins.

In 2025-2026, Del Buono’s announced it would bring fresh life back to the historic former bakery location in Westmont — returning traditional baking to another beloved South Jersey corner.

And this August, we celebrate something truly special:
100 years of Del Buono’s. 🎉

A century of fresh bread on family tables.
A century of early mornings, flour-covered aprons, and recipes passed hand to hand.
A century of community, memories, and South Jersey tradition.

Very few bakeries get to become part of people’s lives for generations. We’re honored that Del Buono’s has.

Thank you for letting us be part of your holidays, your Sunday dinners, your school lunches, your beach sandwiches, and your family stories for nearly a century.
