It's been a week since we've lost our dear Nancy. Thank you for all your prayers and beautiful comments. We are really touched by your thoughtfulness.
In her honor, I made our famous Death by Chocolate cake. For those who have eaten at the hall I am sure you will recognize it. It's not as pretty as hers but I think she would still be proud of me. I learned so much working with her. She was by far the hardest working woman I have ever known. I miss all the long days and late nights and definitely all the laughs. It was the best job I have ever had.
So here's to you Nanc. Thanks for making me part of the gang. I will always be grateful for the time spent with you. I miss you dear friend. Till we meet again!

It’s hard to believe it’s been almost 15 years since we first opened our doors at Smith’s Country Gardens. We made lots of changes over the years, adding the gazebo, the fountain, the covered bridge and in 2011 a second hall. Through the years we have hosted every type of event imaginable, too numerous to list. And of course there have been hundreds of weddings. We are so thankful that you have trusted us with your special events. We’ve met some wonderful people, shared lots of laughs and some tears. But as they say, all good things must come to an end. We have made the difficult decision to close our business effective October 31, 2020. It has been our pleasure to serve all of you and our community throughout the years and we thank you all for your love and support.
We will be holding one last carryout opportunity this Friday the 23rd, menu to be posted later today.
(hint: something from the smoker!)
So on behalf of Nancy and Charlie and the staff at Smith’s Country Gardens, we thank you all and wish you all the best. Stay safe.
