We are going to be suspending our operation for at least this year. Will let you know next year what happens.

Our maple farm was on the NWPA state tour yesterday morning. We had 40+ people stop by on a tour bus to check out our operation. Got several comments that it was a nice place and a nice presentation (from Jason) and delicious maple fudge and maple cookies (from Trisha.)

Hard to believe it's not even the end of March yet and the season is over. Already started cleaning the equipment. Next year we plan on being ready for the January extra runs. Before we worried about the tapholes drying out if it was a long season but after this year it's worth taking the chance.

Seasons still going but it looks like some of the Red Maples have budded. The weather looks promising next week. Sap is still only 1% sugar which translates into roughly 83 gallons of sap to make one gallon of syrup. If it keeps running we'll keep boiling!
