It's hard to believe we're talking turkey already, but 'tis the season! Thanksgiving will be here before we know it, and we're officially taking orders for fresh and smoked turkeys! We even have whole ducks available while supplies last!

🥓 Locally Sourced Meat. Cleaner Labels. Same Great Taste! 🥩

Not only do we pride ourselves on being able to tell our customers where their meat comes from, but we're also constantly looking for ways to clean up the ingredients that go into our products!

Recently, we worked to reformulate our bacon and ham cures to remove MSG! We're excited to share that, as of earlier this week, all newly produced hams and bacon are now MSG FREE! 🙌

We still have some inventory of ham, ham steaks, ground ham, and a little thick-cut and steak-cut bacon made with our previous recipe. Once those are gone, everything moving forward will be made with our new cure!

And we're not stopping there!

We've been actively working with our spice companies to reformulate several other recipes using ACTUAL natural ingredients wherever possible, without sacrificing the quality or flavor you've come to expect from us.

It's not always an easy process, but we believe it's worth the effort!

You'd be amazed at how many products out there are marketed as having "natural" cures when a closer look at the ingredients tells a different story. But that's a conversation for another day! 😉

We believe knowing where your meat comes from AND what's in it matters. We're going to keep working to make both better!

It's great to finally see some harvest equipment rolling through the countryside this week! 🌽🚜

As harvest gets underway, we hope everyone stays patient and keeps an extra eye out for large equipment moving between fields. Remember, farmers want to get home safely just as much as you do! Give them some room and let's keep everyone safe this harvest season!
