Classic pound cake

The reason I started this page and this business is in memory of my mom. I remember every year for the past few years around the holidays especially Thanksgiving and Christmas my mom would make pound cakes to take to our family get together and she would sell some also just to make a little extra money. As I grew up I watched my mom bake these cakes and when I gotten old enough finally was able to help and understand what she was doing I would help her.

My Mother was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer in July 2022. We done what all the doctors wanted us to do up until August 30th when she fell ill and had to be hospitalized. From then her cancer grew and spread like wildfire. On September 9,2022 my mother went home to be with the Lord. No more pain or suffering. If she was still alive and if her hands would let her she would be baking these pound cakes. So this year she is baking her pound cakes with no pain in her new body for all of our loved ones that have went on to be with the lord.

So in memory and honor of my mother I wanted to keep her pound cakes going. So that is the story of where the name of my business came from Heavenly Pound Cakes. I hope to be able to bless families with my mom's pound cakes for as long as I am able to.
