As we continue the process of closing our business we are welcoming in other bakers/makers. Sounds odd, we know, but opening our kitchen as a commissary space allows us to relieve ourselves of some of the overhead pressures — the costs of literally doing business.

We hope top ourselves out at 4 monthly renters total until our lease runs out in a little over a year or someone takes over our lease. This is also why our retail ours are no longer a thing. We want to give the commissary renters as much time in the kitchen in the days they need.

The Last Bake pastry boxes will continue so 👉Look out for those in your emails and on all the socials.

This process still feels awkward and vulnerable, but I’m finding this public journaling of sorts to be cathartic. I’ll continue with my substack: Provisions for a Journey (definitely subscribe if you haven’t already).

Four years ago we sold everything and hit the road. A summer of endless memories. First stop 📍Dollywood 🦋 I won’t pretend that it was a place I’d “always dreamed of going” but when you live in the southeast and you have the chance to experience an extension of one of the best people the United States ever birthed, you go! The whole place was a vibe. Built in her hometown and full of a diversity of main character energy. Also the cinnamon bread! I still think about it. It was 90° out humidity 1000% and I didn’t think twice about it. I briefly considered drinking the butter cinnamon drippings. Briefly!

As we work on closing our business. Hours open to the public will be inconsistent as we make room for commissary bakers.

We will continue to do our “Last Bake” Pre-order boxes — lookout for those select dates by signing up for our emails. Occassional pop-ups will occur — dates unknown but will annouced when we can.

For now, we hope anyone who has landed on our site finds a way to support many of our other small business friends. Follow us on the socials or recommendations.
