Recipe Alert: The Milk & Chocolate Cookie
“The world’s best cookie!”, according to an 11 year old.
Part sugar cookie, part chocolate “biscuit”, and covered in an icing that will remind you of dunking a very familiar American cookie in an ice cold glass of milk. *Please note that prep time includes making each dough, the icing, and the shaping the cookies. It does not include cooling time.

Closing the retail side of my brick and mortar bakery has been rough emotionally, but it’s giving me time to travel through my recipes beyond their stained pages.
Cathartic, sure, but it’s also a massive learning process. I’ve gone through notes and notes and more notes. Iterations of the same recipes marked by seasons and years. Moments of substitutions flood me with memories of times spent hustling away at 4am. Egg crisis — multiples. Product ordering gone wrong — 20lbs of dried basil to be specific. The many creative uses for the lingering ingredients of a project that didn’t do so well. The notes are really journal entries of a diary masked as a recipe book.
