Sometimes we spend time asking who is responsible or who to blame, whether in a relationship, in a job or with the people we know. We miss out some warmth in human relationship in giving each other support. After all, shouldnβt forgiving someone we love be the easiest thing in the world to do? Treasure what you have. Donβt multiply pain, anguish and suffering by holding on to forgiveness.If everyone can look at life with this kind of perspective, there would be much fewer problems in the world.Take off all your envies, jealousies, unwillingness to forgive, selfishness, and fears and you will find things are actually not as difficult as you thinkβ¦!!!

Happy Filipino-American History Month
#FilipinoAmericanHistoryMonth: Did you know that the first settlement of Filipinos in the U.S. was in #Louisiana over 250 years ago?
The first recorded arrival of Filipinos was on October 18, 1587 when the βLuzones Indiosβ set foot in what is now Morro Bay, California.
But nearly 200 years later, a group of Filipinos made their first permanent settlement in the bayous and marshes of Louisiana as early as 1763, according to Marina E. Espinaβs book, βFilipinos in Louisiana.β β

Filipino men, referred to as βManila men,β were on board Spanish galleons and jumped ship to escape forced labor. About 150 of them settled in a small fishing village in southeast Louisana, known as Saint Malo, where they built houses on stilts above water, similar to the style of nipa huts in the Philippines. They created livelihoods in fishing and sh*****ng, and like many Filipinos today, they sent money back to their families in the Philippines. β

Despite the booming settlement for two centuries, the village was largely destroyed by the 1915 New Orleans Hurricane. β
