"My Favorite Customer"
The old fella knocked at my door. I was used to seeing him go past my house, walking his dogs. What he wanted to ask me was, what Was it that his dogs persistently wanted to come into my yard to eat. It was Bagels! I’d just started selling them, and the experimental tweaks were going out the door for the birds. And thus began my weekly bagel delivery to two dogs. My two favorite customers! I delivered to them for over a year til the fella passed away. I never saw the dogs again.
My Second Favorite customers are all of you. Thank you!! But it is time to bid my adieu. After 13 years of “bakers hours” I’m ready to sleep again :)
I appreciate every single one of you that has ordered through the years. You’ve been nothing but supportive and kind. And to my faithful regulars, and you know who you are, I’m going to miss you!!! See you about!~~ Lydia (the bagel lady:)
