My daughter turned 8 today and this is the cake I made for her. The ears and Horn are made using fondant and gold edible spray. The flowers and butterflies are candy that I made using moulds. Strawberry cake, strawberry icing in between the layers and buttercream icing for the rest. It was a rushed job because of all the kids running around but she loved it and that’s all that matters.

Just finished a cake order.
A little over a foot tall, 6 layers of homemade vanilla and funfetti cake. Homemade Buttercream icing and between the layers is homemade brown sugar buttercream. The ornaments are cake pops, the presents and Star were made with fondant. the Grinch is not for eating, he’d be a little tough to chew lol. Merry Christmas!
P.s. Yes it’s leaning, it’s how the customer wanted it!

Got more decorating tools and decided to practice and make a cake. I had an image in my head, and even though it didn’t turn out exactly like I wanted, I’m still happy with it. I’m learning everyday, and I will get better. I have learned that cream cheese icing is not the best for decorating in this way, and learned how to thicken the icing so it did form better. What do y’all think of my Garden Cake!?
