A new confection, baked up in the mind of a foodie in October of 2013, The Spattered Spatula is a cooking and baking blog for and about women who cook by a woman who’s journey with food is just beginning! The Spattered Spatula focuses on women who cook, their favorite foods and meals, as well as all the emotions, trials and joys that go into getting that meal on the table. Part of what makes cooki

ng fun is the ample amount of resources and utensils you can use while doing what you love most! That is why The Spattered Spatula is currently working on a product line of specialty cooking utensils, pots, pans and accessories that encourage you to have fun in the kitchen! Don’t be afraid to get messy. Where’s the fun in that? The Spattered Spatula is also working on a line of personal charms, accessories and merchandise so that you as the customer can wear your spatter proudly :)

The Spattered Spatula an advocate of local causes, so there will be links in the Retail section for how you can support your local food banks and shelters by tacking on a donation to a cause on top of your order. Here at The Spattered Spatula, we encourage you to tell your stories. Rediscover yourselves and your food and don’t be afraid to tell the world about it! Don’t be afraid to fail or ask questions or learn because overall, The Spattered Spatula is about communication and community and embracing what it really means to be a woman and make really good food. Don’t be afraid to get your cookware dirty right along with your hands. Life is hard and food is delicious.

Today was a day for but I didn’t want to overbake, so I experimented with an individual sized pie pan to make an Apple , and I made two tarts and two tarts with strawberries and honey. Feels good to bake, even if it’s a little bit.

It has been a year or three at this point, and things are changing. I guess I’ll be taking a pause to restructure this year? (🤷🏽‍♀️?!?) idk. But while I do that, just know that I had, and still have, plans for a food truck, a store front, and some pop up events. I would love to introduce things like these: French toast waffle sandwiches with local fruits, orange juice, and coffees. As well as lunch sandwiches, cupcakes and cake slices, cookie packages, and all the works in one location. But until then…I’ll be trying to prep and test everything on my fiancé for the time being. Keep the Spattered Spatula in your thoughts as things change, and I hope to see every one of y’all on the other side as a loyal customer who wants sweet treats and delicious meals out of a new storefront and/or space soon. 💋🐼❤️🐼💋
