Chapter 21 has officially come to a close. 🖤

There will be no new menu release this week while I take a little time to focus on feeling better and prep for a much needed garage sale. 🫶🏻😅

Chapter 22 and all of its sweet treats will be back next week!

I realized it’s been awhile since I’ve shared any of my custom orders! 🖤

So, here are a few of the things I’ve gotten to make lately.

I spend a lot of time sharing the weekly Chapters, but I do still take custom orders too! I just keep the number of custom orders I take each month pretty limited and accept them as availability allows.
Cakes, cupcakes, cookies, cookie cakes, dessert boxes and plenty in between. If you have something coming up, feel free to send me a message and see if I have availability!

📖 Chapter Twenty One: Firefly Glow

The sun has almost disappeared, leaving streaks of deep purple and cream across the sky. There's a campfire crackling nearby, something sweet waiting to be toasted, and kids running through the yard trying to catch the first fireflies of the evening.

The air is warm, the moon is starting to show, and for a little while, nobody is quite ready to go inside.

This is the vibe “Sweetness in the Shadows” was written about. 🖤✨

Welcome to Firefly Glow.

This chapter is filled with the flavors of those late summer nights. Toasted marshmallow and chocolate. Brown sugar and cinnamon. Dark berries and white chocolate. Warm, comforting bakes meant to be shared when the day starts slipping into night.

A few things you'll find inside:

• S’mores Biscoff Sweet Rolls layered with all the cozy campfire flavors that inspired this chapter

• Blackberry White Chocolate Scones for that dark berry sweetness tucked between all the chocolate and toasted marshmallow

• Midnight Chocolate Cupcakes, rich and dark and very appropriately named for this one

• S’mores Biscoff Cheesecake and Blackberry White Chocolate Cheesecake in The Cheesecake Parlor

• And the Lunchbox Library has a new savory addition with Pizza Pockets in cheese, pepperoni and cheese, or a little of both

Plus sourdough, pretzel bites, cream pastries, coffee cake muffins, brownie bites, cookie dunkers, and more tucked into the full menu.

📖 Chapter Twenty

If this week's menu were a moment, it would be sitting in a rocking chair on the front porch during golden hour, looking out over an open field of wildflowers with a creamy French vanilla coffee in your hands.

Warm. Soft. A little nostalgic. The kind of evening you wish would last just a little longer.

That's where Chapter Twenty began.

Honey, vanilla bean, raspberry, coconut, orange, and milk chocolate weave their way through this week's bakes, with a few bold savory flavors tucked in for contrast.

A few things waiting inside this chapter:

• The Midnight Bite Box, a collection of tiny treats served with silky honey vanilla bean cream for dipping

• Honey Vanilla Cream Pastries, with flaky puff pastry, honey vanilla bean pastry cream, and a delicate honey drizzle

• Vanilla Glazed Donut Holes, making their first appearance at The Mourning Table

• Buffalo Cheddar Pretzel Bites, served warm with nacho cheese

• Milk Chocolate & Honey Vanilla Cheesecake, which might be best described as tuxedo cake meets cheesecake cup

And there's plenty more tucked inside the full menu.

I think the Maple Latte Scones officially won last week. 🖤

Of everything that went out for pickup, these are the ones I’ve heard about the most since. I’ve gotten at least four or five messages and comments specifically telling me how much people loved them, which makes my baker heart very happy.

But that also means the bar has officially been set for this week’s scones.

Chapter Nineteen has two completely different flavors:

Chocolate Chip Scones
Buttery bakery style scones loaded with chocolate chips and finished with a light vanilla glaze.

Strawberry White Chocolate Scones
Buttery scones filled with sweet strawberries and creamy white chocolate, finished with a light vanilla glaze.

So now I’m curious... which one do you think has the best chance of taking the crown from Maple Latte?

📖 Chapter Nineteen

Some chapters feel cozy. Others feel like summer is holding on just a little longer.

This week's menu is filled with bright berries, fresh citrus, sweet cherries, and a few savory favorites mixed in.

A peek inside this week's chapter:

• Cherry and Strawberry Hand Pies are joining the menu after last week's apple and peach debut, tucked inside layers of buttery, flaky puff pastry and finished with vanilla glaze. And after seeing how gorgeous these turned out, I have a feeling hand pies may be sticking around for a while.

• Blueberry Lavender Sweet Rolls swirled with blueberry filling and finished with delicate lavender and bright lemon glazes.

• Tuscan Sourdough is back with roasted garlic, Asiago, and sun dried tomatoes.

• The Sourdough Flight Sampler brings together Classic, White Chocolate Strawberry, Blackberry Vanilla, and Tuscan.

• And for something sweet, Lemon Raspberry Cupcakes and Strawberry Glaze Cheesecake are making their way into the bakery case.

A few of this week's favorites... 🖤

*Maple Latte Scones

These are the kind of scones that make me want to grab my coffee, curl up on the sofa with a soft blanket, and get lost in a good book. And they smell just like a coffee shop 🫶🏻

*Apple & Peach Hand Pies

Flaky, buttery pastry filled with homemade apple or peach filling and finished with a vanilla glaze. These are making their debut on this week's menu, and I have a feeling they're going to become a favorite.

*Cookies & Cream Brownie Bites

Rich, fudgy brownie bites topped with cookies and cream frosting. Simple, chocolatey, and so good.

Every chapter has its own season.

This week's menu feels like that moment when late summer begins to lean into fall. Fresh peaches, warm cinnamon, maple, coffee, and a few savory favorites have all found their way into the bakery.

A few highlights from this week's chapter:

• Tuscan Sourdough with roasted garlic, Asiago, and sun-dried tomatoes

• Maple Latte Scones with an espresso-kissed dough and maple espresso glaze... the kind of scone that makes me want to grab my coffee, curl up on the sofa with a soft blanket, and get lost in a good book.

• Peach Cobbler Scones filled with fresh peaches, cinnamon crumble, and vanilla glaze

• Apple and Peach Hand Pies, making their debut on the menu

• Cinnamon Sugar Pretzel Bites served with cinnamon cream cheese frosting

• Biscoff S'mores Cookies, loaded with marshmallows, Hershey's chocolate, and crunchy Biscoff cookies
