As many of you know I set up as a vendor this past weekend.
I did not do as well as I hoped for due to weather, football etc. BUT the amount of “are you crazy” looks I received when I told them how much my cookies were completely shocked me.
I know I am NOT the best at this, but I find it very relaxing and something I enjoy.
These cookies and icing are made from SCRATCH.
I have to color match icing each time I make it.
Cut out the cookies to the correct sizes, bake them and then comes the most time consuming— DECORATING.
During the decorating, I have to wait until everything is completely DRY before adding the finishing details.
I don’t have a fancy machine that decorates them for me, each one is done BY HAND, so no two will ever be identical.
I don’t have a fancy projector to do designs, they are all FREE HANDED.
I take pride in my work, inflation has caused the prices of ingredients to skyrocket and I try to stay as reasonable as possible.
I started baking to help with some income since I’m not working, Blaikley loves to watch me cook and decorate. (She’s also a good taste tester)

My wedding day (2020), I paid $120 for 30 cookies — I’m sure the price is more now due to the inflation but us cookiers are working so hard behind the scenes.
