We are going to will autumn into existence, despite the heatwave. If it can't feel like fall, perhaps it can taste like fall!

First up: our maple oatmeal scone. It has that hearty, slightly nutty flavor from the oats and is topped with a warm, maple syrup glaze. It might not feel like a crisp, October morning but this scone will help you visualize it.

It's not quite time for apple pies (just you wait until November!) but we're getting an early start with our apple pie bar. All of your favorite flavors from our apple pie with crumble topping packed into a much more convenient, transportable form! If you love apples, cinnamon, and brown sugar you are sure to love these!

And, of course, there's no Friday like Bread Friday! Our braided loaves of challah and garden focaccia are available today. Stop by for a loaf for your dinner table and then enjoy the leftovers (if you have any) with a schmear of jam for breakfast on Saturday.

Despite our brief heatwave, it feels like autumn has arrived! We're ready for it with the first of our fall flavors arriving in the bakery this week. If you follow us on Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/victoriabakerycafe/) or Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/VictoriaBakeryMarin/) you got a sneak peek: our new pecan pie cake is here!

The ooey, gooey filling of our pecan pie becomes the topping for this lightly spiced, brown sugar cake. It's so good I enjoyed it for breakfast one day this week! Available by the slice while it lasts.

While it's technically fall, we still don't want to give up on summer time. Strawberry shortcake scones will be available as our special weekend scone through Sunday. We're in California, after all. What are seasons, anyway?

And, of course, there's no Friday like Bread Friday. Look for our traditional challah braids as well as our gorgeous focaccia in the bakery case today and tomorrow, while they last.

I wasn't prepared for the quick descent into fall! Gray skies and cool temperatures are here! Luckily we have some fresh, warm pastries to keep the chill away.

This weekend the featured scone is mixed berry. If you can decide whether you like raspberries, blackberries, or strawberries best... no need to bother. This scone has them all, topped with a tasty berry drizzle.

Since fall is in the air, our s'mores bar feels like the natural choice. It's all the wonderful tastes you get from a s'more without the smell of the campfire on your clothes for the rest of the day.

If you're interested in something that looks as great as it tastes, try a one of our filled croissants! Each time they come out of the oven I marvel at the tight spiral in the croissant dough. Art and science, all in one delicious package! Choose from Nutella, strawberry cream, or pistachio cream filling. You can't go wrong!

And, of course, there's no Friday like Bread Friday! Our famous focaccia loaves - plain and garden varieties - will be available along with our braided challah. If you can't choose... take one of each!

The fresh, local strawberries are once again spectacular this week - but who knows for how much longer as summer wanes? We're going to enjoy them every last moment we can. Strawberry scones are back this weekend if you, too, love that fruity punch!

Shana tovah to those of you celebrating the new year! We'll have our round challah loaves for Rosh Hashanah on a first-come, first-served basis this morning. A limited number of traditional braids will be available, too.

We're always chasing rainbows, so this week's intermittent showers have had us in our happy place. Marla captured the image above after a long day of baking. What a great reward!

We've had a few requests for the maple oat scone in the past few weeks. Ask and ye shall receive! These tender scones pack a bunch of flavor. The maple drizzle on top will have you pining for fall. Get them while they last!

Rosh Hashanah is coming up soon on. On Fri, Sep 11 we will be preparing round loaves, in addition to our normal braids. If you would like to reserve a loaf, please place an order in advance! It's back to school week for most of Marin. If you're feeling glum about the end of summer and the return to the grind, stop by the bakery for a pick-me-up! We have options galore to help boost your mood.

This weekend's special scone will be the strawberry scone! These tender treats are absolutely jam packed (har har) with fresh strawberries from the California coast. A touch of icing drizzled on the top and your worries about calculus and The Odyssey will be left behind.

It's made in a wooden butter churn and then molded by hand. The culture adds just a little bit of zing to every bite. It pairs perfectly with our slightly sweet challah. Give it a go!

If you've been out camping this summer, you're going to love what we have cooked up for you. The S'mores Cookie Bar is back! We've managed to pack transform the sticky, messy, campfire-fresh glory of s'mores in a more convenient take-away fashion.

Strawberry shortcake scones are back, too! Light as a feather and packed with real strawberry punch.

And, since it's Friday, you know it's Bread Friday at the bakery. Time for tasty challah loaves and focaccia! Better be quick this week! We just had a group of hungry campers visit the bakery this morning and devour three loaves in one go!
