✨I N T R O P O S T✨(and because these overalls deserve a spot on the feed)
With so many new followers *🤭* I figured it’s time for an introduction post!
I am Elyse (yes, spelled with a Y, not an I:) and I’m the face and hands behind The Boheme Babe. All of my life I’ve had a deep appreciation for our coasts, and especially, the little islands on the Eastern Shore of Virginia of Chincoteague and Assateague. Being originally from PA, it was the only beach I knew growing up and I wouldn’t have it any other way. These islands shaped who I am and I am so grateful to now call them home.
The crafts I make are inspired by the beauty of these islands and the treasures found along their shorelines🦪
The other aspect of my business is either new or gently used, pre-loved items. Since I can remember I have been thrifting, and there is no better rush to me than finding an amazing piece, or name-brand item at a second hand shop. I turned my hobby into a business, and you can now shop all of the hidden gems I am able to find (and barely part with). I believe in the movement towards second-hand rather than brand-new, and I am excited to be a part of that.
You can find me at the Chincoteague Island Farmer’s and Artisans market most Wednesdays and Saturdays, and a few other markets in the surrounding area. I also have the honor of displaying my handmade crafts in southmainsupply on the island✨🐚
It has been an amazing journey so far and I am so grateful to every person who had stopped by my tent, gave me a follow, paid a compliment or made a purchase. I am excited to see where this takes me, and am so happy for you to be following along!✨🫶🏼
