Good morning! I’m getting a late start to the day due to staying up until 4:30a cleaning out photos on my laptop. One of my goals while being home is to organize, Organize, ORGANIZE…photos, recipes, and random documents stored in random files on my phone, laptop, Google and Microsoft.

I’ll be making Buckeye filling today for a couple Father’s Day orders. There will be some EXTRAS if anyone would like to place an order. They’ll be dipped in your choice of Dark, Semi-Sweet, or White Chocolate. I’ll also be making Mini Key Lime Pies and Mini Cheesecakes, strawberry sauce, and whipped topping. Good morning! I’m checking back in here after a few days off. This heel issue is wrecking havoc on my life. I’m bored being at home, but it’s the being so limited in what I’m able to do that I’m most bothered by. I’m still baking and YES, I’m still accepting orders. I am asking for at least 4-5 days in advance, especially if I have to make a grocery store run. 🥧🧁🎂🍪

The scooter-mobile is NOT outdoor-use friendly. It’s downright dangerous!!! It will immediately !!!STOP!!! if there’s a small piece of debris on the ground, an uneven crack, or bumpy concrete, and I’ve about given up trying to use it. I walk great on my tippy toes as I’ve had 8 months of practice. (I’m aware it’s not helpful for my healing, js…) I’m on the search for another that has all terrain wheels and is outdoor user friendly. This dang heel isn’t healing quick enough, or maybe I’m just being impatient…🙄😩😡😂🤣😂🤣

I’m late on posting the last of the weekend’s orders, but delivered these on Sunday to my aunt for a monthly event hosted by the blind society at Missouri Botanical Gardens. The class is held on a Monday and they teach a flower/plant making class. They provide each person a planter for the month’s theme, live stems and the cube to place the stems in. I was able to attend one of the classes, 2 months ago, and had a great time. (I asked permission before sharing my aunt’s photo. I do respect other’s rights to privacy. She was okay with me posting her.)

Have you ever eaten a Gooey Butter cookie that wasn’t bought in a grocery store? For those that don’t know how I went from a 30 year hobby baker for my kid’s birthdays to family and friend’s holiday gatherings, to baking a couple times a month for the bowling team my husband bowls on, I was often told that I should “sell these.” My husband and many others attempted to persuade me often over the years and I didn’t think I was ready. I don’t know what made me think I was ready 😳 to go into a business when I was working 70 hours a week, 7-10’s, 6 months out of the year, to start a business THEN, but I did….and I’m still going strong. I’m more than grateful that my business has grown exponentially over the past 18 months and I look forward to continuous growth. Gooey Butter cookies, along with my Best Seller’s: Chocolate Chip, Oatmeal Raisin, Peanut Butter, and Snickerdoodle were what I would make for the bowlers….annnnnnd Rice Krispy Treats.
