Good morning! I’ve been MIA from my page for the last several days, but still actively engaging with many of you. I’ve been working behind the scenes taking care of some health stuff, plus getting acquainted with my newest assistant, the knee scooter. Thank gosh there’s a sturdy basket on the front. 🤣 Last week, I was a busy with orders, and this week is proving to be another one. Many, many, many thanks to everyone who has showed up and helped me out with placing orders. I have been on unpaid medical leave, FMLA, since April 7th and now that I have the long list of results from the MRI, I have applied and waiting on the Short Term Disability to reach their decision. So again, THANK YOU! This is not usually a busy time for me because I don’t make custom cakes or sugar cookies and that’s what many are seeking for the graduation parties. They’re beautiful and a lot of work, and they’re not my thing. I know of a few bakers if anyone needs a referral. I haven’t tasted their work, because again, that’s not my thing. (I’m the “ol school” baker who makes MANY desserts from scratch using ingredients that haven’t been doctored from a box.) If I ever do venture out to a brick and mortar, I will still be a scratch made baker and NOTHING will be box produced. You have my word on that. 💯

Back to business since the medical stuff is slowly being checked off the list, still ongoing and waiting on some results, but nothing that will stop me from showing up for my business and my customers, ALL OF YOU. As mentioned earlier, I have been getting orders, still have 4 to make for this week. The BEST part of these 4, none are the same thing. My menu is extensive and I prefer things that way. I love standing out from the crowd and being able to offer what others choose not to do or simply cannot. This isn’t a competition. I just remember going to the neighborhood bakery with my grandmother and being able to pick out what I wanted. There was a spread to choose from. My website contains a spread, on purpose. If I’ve kept your attention this far, thank you. I appreciate you for being here. As a token of my appreciation, I’m including photos of what’s gone out in the last week that I’ve remembered to take shots of.

I HAVE GREAT NEWS!!! I took and passed both of the ServSafe Food Handler and Allergens Safety Courses! They’ve both been on my list of things I wanted to do since becoming a small business owner. Neither are a requirement for the state or area I’m in, but I’m all about . I practice oodles of safety measures in my career as well as in my kitchen, and since I’m home until gosh knows when😫, I figured now is as good of a time as ever to take the online courses and exams. I was quite surprised I knew more than I thought I would, and beyond grateful to know I’ve been following the correct path in keeping everything stored separately.

If you’re in the area and want to support a that’s NOT a franchise and truly is a small business, CHECK THIS PLACE OUT! I went with a friend of mine and we both got the Banana Split. The dessert was HUGE!!!! There’s more than enough for two people to share, but like I always say, I’m greedy and DO NOT SHARE. 😂 They have off-street parking right next to the building. They’re very affordable for the quantity and quality given. They have a full menu on their website and also their page. Give them a like/follow and if you’re in the area, stop by.

Good morning, it’s Monday, and also the start of PRIDE MONTH!!! I took yesterday off and rested…the whole day! It felt wonderful. The best part, the boot and the prednisone have proven to be a great team because I experienced my first day without any pain. 🥰 I hope there’s some healing happening internally and I can get to a pain free life sooner rather than later. Today and tomorrow’s shenanigans include Gooey Butter Cookie dough prep: Mint Chocolate, Caramel Pecan, and also Mini Oat Loaves-Variety pack, gluten free Caramel Pecan Rolls, and also PRIDE: 🌈 cupcakes, a 🌈 heart sugar cookie cake-not yet claimed, and 🌈 cake-also not claimed.

Pictured are what went out this weekend and especially want to let those know who are gluten free, non celiac, you’re really not limited in desserts. I make a spread of goodies and they don’t taste like the garbage that’s sold in stores. I bake from scratch only, which means there’s no preservatives or fillers added. The texture, if noticeable, is the only “taste” difference. (Note: I’m not a certified gluten free kitchen, but do take many precautions to prevent cross contamination, including cleaning the space. I don’t share any baking pans, utensils, shelving space with any products containing gluten.)

The two Variety Boxes went to a new customer and I hope they were enjoyed by all. The gluten free order went to someone near and dear to me and I hope she enjoys everything.
