I have been teasing you for just just a bit now and I know you all want to know what's going on at the Washington St location
I have been keeping a pretty BIG secret for about the past 5 months or so and now I can finally share the amazing news..
You might remember that just a few short years ago we were bursting at the seams and I expanded into the space directly next store to my cafe. That became our new Chocolate Factory a space for my candy makers and decorators to do their thing
Well...Apparently I didn't think big enough 🤣🤣🤣
We have outgrown that space as well 🚨
Our bakery, kitchen, candy production, cookies, cakes, catering and cafe teams are working in spaces that are simply too small for everything we're doing...and there's definitely no room for everything else that I still want to do. Plus we really need more dining room space for all of you!!!!
After a causal conversation with my Landlord at Washington Square Grayslake he came back to me with an idea that I honestly never would have thought to ask for.
He offered to pay and move our neighbors at The Yoga Effect to a brand new upgraded space in the center. Our Landlord is taking care of all of their moving expenses and upgrades. They're so excited for their space and they have graciously agreed to allow us to expand into their current space
Sadly they won't be right next to us...but they will always be our neighbor 💕
So all of this means....
WE'RE TAKING DOWN THE WALLS!!! 🔨🔨🔨
First The Yoga Effect's new space will get built out
Then they will move on down
After that we will take over that space in January and begin our construction.
The wall between our cafe and The Chocolate Factory will come down allowing us to bring our entire production team together into one huge kitchen
Baking, candy making, cookie and cake decorating, restaurant prep, gift baskets and pies ....All together with room to actually MOVE...and even better, room to GROW
But here its the part your'e going to love ❤❤❤
The new space will be opened up as well to become a MUCH BIGGER DINNING ROOM AND RETAIL AREA!!!

🎯More room for new menu ideas
🎯and finally...more room to grow this crazy little business of ours
I am incredibly grateful to our Landlord for coming up with a plan that gives two local female owned small businesses an opportunity to grow and to my neighbors at The Yoga Effect for being so gracious and excited about their new space.
After more than 30 years in business so many of you have been with me for a very long time. You've watched this little business grow and change...you've supported my crazy idea and somewhere along the way so many of you stopped feeling like customers and started feeling like friends.
So this time things are going to go a little different, you're all coming along for the ride 🚕🚕🚕
I'm going to share IT ALL
There will be wins and setbacks.
There will probably be days when I wonder what on earth I've gotten myself into
And you're going to see those too
Because I don't just want to show you the beautiful finished space when it's all done. I want you to be a part of watching it become something
So buckle up my friends...you're going to be a part of our next chapter while we are writing it.
