Well… we showed out a different kind of horsepower last night. 🏁
Y’all.
I’m sitting here this morning so sore I can barely move, running on coffee and pure gratitude, and honestly I don’t even know where to begin.
55 entries.
FIFTY-FIVE.
For a little coffee shop that had never hosted a car show before, that number feels unreal.
Hundreds of people filled the streets of Perryville. Families strolled through town. The Baril Park Block Party was packed. Beautiful cars and motorcycles lined the streets. Kids were playing, music was going, vendors were busy, and for a few hours it felt like the entire community came together to celebrate everything that makes small-town Kentucky so special.
Meanwhile, I was glued to the registration table all evening.
I couldn’t leave.
But apparently while I was handing out placards and trying not to lose my mind, my girls absolutely SLAYED.
Customer after customer came back and said, “That shop is packed, but those girls are handling it like pros.”
And they did.
Delaney,Emma, and rescue man Jordan—I owe y’all more than I could ever put into words. Charlie Horse would not be what it is without you. Watching this team step up the way they did makes me emotional. The shop didn’t just survive while I was outside—it THRIVED.
Main Street Perryville, thank you for allowing us to be part of something that has become such a beloved community tradition. We were honored to join the celebration.
To the Raptors MC Club—what an incredible group of people. Thank y’all for your support, encouragement, and partnership. It was truly a pleasure working alongside you.
To our entrants…
Man, y’all SHOWED OUT.
The quality of vehicles and motorcycles that rolled into Perryville last night was incredible. Every single one of you took a chance on a first-year event, and I don’t take that lightly. Thank you for trusting us.
Truth be told, this whole event was inspired by memories of building old trucks with my papaw. He loved cars, loved talking to people, and loved community gatherings. Last night I couldn’t help but think about how much fun he would’ve had rolling thru those rows of vehicles and talking to every single one of y’all.
To our judges, you know who you are. Thank you for volunteering your time, your knowledge, and your patience. Events like this don’t happen without people willing to step up and help.
To our vendors, Cassidy with Crooked and Wide Engraving Co. and Amanda with Weld n Shine Permanent Jewelry, thank y’all for being part of the night. Your setups were fantastic, and I loved seeing people gathered around your booths all evening.
To the Perryville Fire Department, thank you for helping make the block party such a special experience for families.
To everyone who helped direct traffic, answer questions, move signs, carry things, park vehicles, and solve problems before I even knew there was a problem—thank you.
To everyone who shared a post, tagged a friend, told somebody about the event, or simply showed up to support it—thank you.
To the families who brought their kids, the spectators who filled the sidewalks, the people who shopped local, grabbed a coffee, bought dinner, visited the vendors, and spent the evening in Perryville—thank you.
Last night was one of our biggest events to date.
We’re sold out of nearly everything.
My feet hurt.
My back hurts.
My voice is nearly gone.
And somehow my heart has never felt fuller.
For all the growth we’ve experienced, moments like this keep me grounded. They remind me that Charlie Horse was never just about coffee. It’s about community. It’s about creating a place where people can gather, connect, laugh, and make memories together.
Now for today’s announcement…
Y’all were apparently on a mission last night because we are down to the crumbs of the crumbs. 😂
Because of that, Charlie Horse will be open from 12 PM–4 PM today. We honestly don’t know if we’ll even make it that long, but we’re going to do our best to get one more day out of what’s left before we regroup, restock, and let the crew recover.
From the bottom of my sore, exhausted, happy little heart…
Thank y’all.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to attempt to stand up, make another cup of coffee, and figure out how I’m supposed to move today.
What a dream. 🤍🐴☕🏁
