I always remove the skin from raw organic almonds and grind them myself to make fresh almond flour.... The macaron is commonly filled with ganache, buttercream or jam filling sandwiched between two cookies. Since the English word macaroon can

also refer to the coconut macaroon, many have adopted the French spelling of macaron to distinguish the two items in the English language.

Ladies, a little warning that this recipe is UNHEALTHY and SINFUL. It is a far cry from my healthy concoctions that I normally throw together as these cookies use a tremendous amount of butter, sugar, and chocolate. But life is too short. So let’s celebrate and eat some damn COOKIES!
