Good morning! Looks like it’s going to be a perfect Fall day. To go with it, we’ve got baked pumpkin donuts with a brown butter glaze, Fall apple danishes, and plenty more to go around!

Also - last night, we got a new sign, courtesy of Signs & Designs! George hand makes all of his signs and we’ve got them all over the shop, from price tag holders to the sign above the bread racks. We couldn’t be happier with everything he’s done for us! He’s a true professional when it comes to design ideas and texture. Would highly recommend George for any of your signage needs! Another fantastic Grand Island business.

As of this morning, it’s been officially one year since we opened the shop! I included some pictures below to show the difference between then and now. It’s…stark! We’re so lucky to have nice customers, kind neighbors, and new friends visit each week. I hope we can stay here for a long time.

When we first opened, we only had three items - baguettes, croissants, and baked pumpkin donuts. So in honor of that day, we’ve got baked pumpkin donuts with a brown butter glaze, and plenty more freshly baked breads and pastries to go around. Thanks again to everyone who supported us in the beginning and who continue to do so. We love everyone here very much!

As part of our mission to support local organic farms, we made the trip today to Bittner Singer Orchards in Appleton, NY to pick up some apples for our pastries and new menu items this month! This particular variety, called ‘Enterprise’, is what we’ll use to make more filling for apple danishes, and apple butter to preserve and use for the rest of the Fall.

Growing apples without the use of synthetic inputs is incredibly difficult, which is why there are only a handful of certified organic apple growers in the state. We’re lucky that Jim and his crew were kind enough to sell to our little shop, and grateful for the hard work they put in every day. The best part about loading up a Toyota Corolla full of apples is the smell! It’s definitely NOT the fact that the seatbelt alarm thinks someone is sitting in the passenger seat for the entire 45 minute trip.

Happy Saturday! We’ve got a full lineup of breads and pastries this morning, so if you haven’t had a chance to come and see us, today is a great day to stop by!

Also, we’re excited to announce that by the end of this month, we’ll be able to offer espresso, specialty lattes, and other fall drinks right here in the shop! The menu and specialty items will be put together courtesy of Matt at Grand Island Coffee Co., who roasts his own coffee right here on the Island! We’re also going to add more fall flavors to the bread and pastry menu this month, so keep an eye out for that!

Good morning! Almond croissants, ham and cheese, maple morning buns, and plenty of baguettes today. We’ve also got awesome fall flavors of scones and cookies from Sourdough by Amanda, and Colombian or Guatemalan coffee blends from Grand Island Coffee Co.

Maybe bring some pastries to a tailgate brunch? Croissants for breakfast sandwiches or chicken salad? Baguettes for a french dip?

Hello! If you haven’t been to see us yet, here are a few photos! We’ve got a LOT happening this month and a lot changing throughout the autumn season. By the end of October, we’ll be able to offer espresso and specialty drinks inside the shop, courtesy of Grand Island Coffee Co.! We’re also now stocking some cold organic beverages from Tractor Beverage Co. and others! Even some organic apple juice for the kiddos.

We’ve got maple morning buns, croissants, baguettes, tons of bread and pastries, and coffee. Stop by and check it out!

Good morning and happy Sunday! We’ve got a lot to offer today including maple morning buns, ham and cheese croissants, Fall apple danishes, almond croissants, and much more. Also, if you liked the coffee you tried yesterday at the free coffee tasting, we have an expanded offering of coffee roasted right here on Grand Island from Grand Island Coffee Co.!

We’ve got a shelf full of fall goodies from our friend Amanda at Sourdough by Amanda here too - stop by the Red Bread Shed a few houses down from our shop toward Huth Rd. to see her beautiful display!

Still plenty of great Sunday treats here, including our new Maple Morning Buns! Not sure how long we’ll be making them, but while they’re here, try one out with your morning coffee or brunch! If you like a sweet breakfast, this is the way to go. A good black coffee helps cut through the sweetness (like the ones we have today from Grand Island Coffee Co.!). We’ve also got awesome scones and cookies from Sourdough by Amanda and some nice places to sit outside on this cool morning.
