Free outdoor movie nights are happening at Riddle Hill Homestead in Grafton!

Join us for movies under the stars on Friday nights throughout the season. Bring a blanket or lawn chair, settle in, and enjoy a relaxed community night outside.

Movie nights are free, and weather permitting.

Because of movie licensing requirements, we share movie titles, dates, and start times in our private Facebook group: Riddle Hill Movie Nights.

Everyone is welcome. We’d love to see more neighbors from Grafton, Canaan, Danbury, and the surrounding towns join us this summer.

Sigh. It was bound to happen eventually.

It appears we’ve had a visitor who either doesn’t understand how an honor-system shop works or chose not to honor it.

Please know that our honor system is really a “trust, but verify” system. We do have cameras in place. We’ve reviewed the footage and know what happened, but unfortunately weren’t able to respond quickly enough to catch the person involved.

Based on what we’ve observed, we do not believe this is the first time this has happened.

If your son was at Riddle Hill Homestead around 3:56 PM today, riding a black electric bicycle and wearing a black helmet, we’d appreciate you having a conversation with him about honesty and respecting other people’s property.

We’re keeping an eye out for him and will be filing a police report.

We love being able to offer an honor-system cookie shop to the community. Most people are wonderful, and we’d like to keep it that way. Unfortunately, repeated theft makes that difficult. If it becomes a regular problem, we’ll have no choice but to limit shop hours to times when someone can be present.

We’re hopeful this is a one-time poor decision and that the lesson gets learned before it becomes something more serious. 🍪
