Whipped Cream Frosting doesn't hold color long, so it's not something I'll do very often because it must be done the night before or the day of pickup and consumption.
Starting the week if June 13th, I will be taking (at least) a 2 week hiatus from baking cakes. I apologize for any inconvenience.

A BIG FAT German Chocolate Cake!
Did you know it has nothing to do with Germany? The developer of the kind of chocolate used in this cake was named Samuel German. So the original name of the cake was German's Chocolate Cake.
Maybe they should've gone with Sam's Chocolate Cake to avoid confusion.

So the weather interfered with the two weekends that I was going to have guests try out my Valentines Day Cakes! (or Galentine's Day or heck, just a Celebrate You Day)
But I'm still working on the cake(s)
So far, I've got a Heart-Shaped Chocolate Truffle Cake (made with almond flour) with Caramel Filling, and Chocolate Buttercream - soon to be covered with a red mirror glaze!
Then I'm working on a Heart-Shaped Chocolate Cake (AP flour) with a Hazelnut Mousse Filling, Chocolate Buttercream and Mirror Glaze!
I want them to look like a chocolate truffle from a box of chocolates, and I may make some mini heart shaped cakes!
Who wants one? You can order one with a different filling!

I had a "Nailed It!" moment with this cake. My customer's boyfriend is an avid fisherman, and this cake was going to have a big fish jumping out of the top to catch a lure from a fishing pole.
But NOTHING I did worked like I wanted it to, and the fish head...well I'll show you that one later, so it turned into this, which I think is adorable.
It's a Mint Chocolate Chip Cake (chocolate cake, Mint Chocolate Chip Swiss Meringue Buttercream - which is DEEELIICIOUS!!!) and a mirror glaze with Fondant decorations.
Happily, the customer and the birthday boy were very satisfied with the cake despite my inability to make a fishing pole and a... fish...head
Please allow for 2 weeks notice at least for cake orders. Last minute cake orders are hard to fill and prepare for. I can be flexible within 2 weeks, it doesn't have to be exact.
Sometimes I can take a cake with a few days' notice, but only if I'm not already booked with a complicated cake that I need time to prepare for.

Earl Grey Cupcakes filled with Blood Orange Curd and Lavender Ganache
A classic look for this classy cake.
Another Earl Grey Cake with Cherry Heering/Black Currant Buttercream and Lavender Ganache Buttercream. The ganache was a bit of an accident, but I think it's the best way to get the subtle lavender flavor.
With lavender-infused heavy cream, white chocolate and butter (and a little purple food coloring) and some edible gold paint, this ganache/bcream is smooth and delicious!
A new spin on an old favorite! This Earl Grey Cake with Cherry Heering Liqueur/Black Currant Buttercream is sporting some Lavender White Chocolate Ganache, which is ONE new thing, but on the inside...

A beautiful 5 layer cake with a "fault line" of flowers in the middle. Silky Swiss Meringue Buttercream flavored with real white chocolate and raspberry powder.
I paint edible gold luster dust on the edges. The top layer above the fault line can be removed for slicing, so you can serve 20 to 40 people (Serving = 1” x 2” x 4” slices) It's layered with real raspberry filling inside the buttercream.
