Last night my boy asked, “Mommy, do you have any baking to do?” I told him no, and he smiled so big.

“You wanna play with us when we get up? Maybe a puzzle?” 🥹

That little question was the reminder I needed to make more room for moments like these. I love being your baker, but being their mommy needs some time on the calendar, too.

Going forward, Jess’s Bakehouse will officially be closed on Sundays and Mondays so I can spend that time with my family.

Previously arranged order pickups will still be available, but they will be self-serve porch pickup only.

Thank you for supporting my little business and the family behind it. Now, I have a puzzle date to keep.

Hi friends! I am super busy prepping orders for tomorrow, but I am experiencing some phone trouble. As of now, my phone is in SOS mode and we are headed camping this afternoon, so unfortunately if I’m not connected to Wi-Fi, I’m not sure my phone is going to work.

For pick ups tomorrow, I have reached out to everyone and confirmed pick up time is 9 AM, but if something should change from now until then, please reach out as soon as you know. I will try to find some Wi-Fi hopefully at the campground! Otherwise, I will see you all at 9!

Honestly, I think that’s one of my favorite things about baking — I’m constantly learning, improving, and occasionally being humbled by a cake order.

And today’s lesson? Double check the shape before you start baking.

I accidentally made a 6” RED VELVET HEART CAKE instead of the 6” round I actually needed.

So… my mistake = someone else’s sweet little win!

Well… I feel I’ve officially outgrown my kitchen. 🥹🫶🏻

This little bakery has grown more than I ever expected, and I’m finding that my home kitchen just isn’t keeping up anymore!

I’m still accepting orders, but I may be taking on a little less while I figure out what the next step looks like.

SO — I’m putting some feelers out!

I’m looking for a kitchen space to rent locally. This could be an existing commercial/shared kitchen OR maybe you own a business with a kitchen in the building that you don’t really use. It doesn’t necessarily have to be a food-based business — I’m open to hearing about anything that might work!

If you know of a space, own one yourself, or know someone I should reach out to, I would be SO appreciative if you sent them my way.

And who knows… if your lead ends up finding Jess’s Bakehouse its next little home, there mayyyy just be a free birthday cake in it for you!🤭

Any orders that have already been placed are absolutely still good to go and will be completed as planned! However, I will not be accepting any additional orders at this time. If you have discussed an order with me and have not received a confirmation, please reach out.
