3 more jars available for pickup TODAY! I’m over the moon with how many of you were interested in picking up live starter today. I mixed up a big batch and have about 3 jars worth left in my bucket.

I popped it in the fridge right at peak for you which means:
- you could bake with it tonight! 😍
- you could keep it at room temp and choose to feed it either tonight or tomorrow (whatever schedule you want it to be on)
- keep it in the fridge until you’re ready! (I recommend a few days of room-temp feedings to wake it up if kept in the fridge more than a couple days)

The Beast is strong and healthy which means she likes to throw a fit (overflow 😅) the fridge should keep it calm but please be careful opening the jar if you see that she’s bubbled up to the top. Maybe I should have left more room in the jar but I wanted to give you as much as I could! 🥰

$10 for a 16oz glass jar, porch pickup in Lucero.

This week on Hillside 🫧🥖⛰️ I had so much fun doing my first pop up at for their Mother’s Day event! You guys sold me out (🥹🤍) and the best part was getting to chat with you!! I got to put some faces to names and meet new neighbors. I say it all the time but our community is truly why I love this little business! Thank you for supporting me and allowing me to bake for you and your families. There is no greater compliment than hearing “my friend told me about your bread so I had to stop by” and “my dad is going to be so excited when I bring this home” 😭 stop it!!!

I’m taking this upcoming week off to celebrate my little guys graduating preschool (again… STOP!! 🥲) but I will see you on the porch again on 5/21 🥰 no need to mark your calendar- if you click on “remind me” on my website, I’ll send you a text when ordering opens up!!

A little photo dump from the last couple weeks of baking—aka the calm before the vacation (if calm means a kitchen full of dough and timers).

I’ve been soaking up some extra family time lately, but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t missing my Dough Co. days… and the joy of feeding my neighbors. (It’s only been a week off, HELP 🥲)

This tiny cottage bakery biz has introduced me to sooo many of you, and I’m endlessly grateful I get to do something that feels both nourishing and deeply connected to the people around me.

I’ll be back in the bakery soon—excited, rested, (hopefully a little tan ☀️🌊🏝️) and ready to open orders again. Missing you all!

Some views from this past week 🥰🥖 on pickup days I’m usually running around inside triple checking your bags and cleaning up, so I usually don’t run into you guys when you stop by. But these past couple of weeks I’ve crossed paths with so many of you on the porch and gotten to put faces to some names!! I’ve determined that only the nicest people on earth buy my bread- you are all amazing!! The best was when a few of you showed up and were surprised to run into your own friends who were also picking up their orders on the porch 🥰 I get all in my feelings when I get to connect with you guys.. it’s just bread 😂 but also, it’s not just bread! 🤍

The minis had their debut on my menu and I can’t believe I didn’t add them sooner! Implementing the feedback and suggestions of my customers has been the most simple, yet rewarding boost to my business. It takes the guesswork out of understanding what people want, and makes me feel even more connected to my neighborhood (especially in a tight knit community like ours!)

Thank you all for a sell-out week and for some of the most heartwarming reviews I’ve ever received!! I’ll be smiling about them for a LONG time! 🥰🤍🥖

I took last week off and feel crazy admitting how much I missed the chaos of porch pickup. We really have a good thing going, neighbors 🥹🤍🥖 during my time off I tested a few recipes, made a couple menu changes (thank you for being my cookie taste testers!) and soaked in the extra downtime with my little guys. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again (every week, probably) but I am SO LUCKY to get to bake real bread for our community.

Speaking of community, next week’s schedule will be different as well because I’ll be baking for a special cause next Saturday. Porch pickup will operate like normal, but will be moved to 🔔Saturday, 2/8!🔔 If you live in Estrella then I’m sure you’ve heard of RUFF of Estrella. I’ll be donating to their bake sale for their FurBowl fundraiser that day! 🤍🐾 More details are on RUFF’s page!
