I appreciate all of your support and business more than you could ever know!!🤗. Tomorrow at Goodman Second Chance Resale and Antique Store…. I will have free chocolate drop cookies, an original Grandma Bea recipe, as long as they last!! Now a little history… I never called her Grandma Bea, I called her Grandma Barribeau. She spent the later part of her life in Kaukauna, WI. When I was a kid and she lived on 10th Street, I would ride my bike to see her and she would bake with me and teach me. When we were done baking, I would ride my bike to Dick’s Drive in, my aunt Oatha worked there well into her 80’s. As soon as I walked in, someone would say ‘put Bea’s fish on’.. it was a fish sandwich with onions. I would bring it to her and go home. She taught me the difference between scant, pinch and dash. I was going to make her chocolate drop cookies with my Kitchenaid mixer… and I decided to make them old school like I did with grandma. The last thing I ever baked for my dad was Grandma’s chocolate drop cookies… he loved them and said ‘ the last time I had these were when my mom made them’ 🥺.
