I won again!

On the same day as the taping for the 3rd Hour Today Show, I had the privilege of joining other cast members to tour the……(🥁roll)….the Holiday Services warehouse!

This backstage tour showed the incredible magic behind the decorating for Walt Disney World! It was amazing! I believe each of our mouths remained open the entire one hour tour.

For security reasons, I cannot not take any photos nor much less share them from this experience. Let me just say, I don’t know how they get it ALL done!

The closest thing we can do is to watch the 2017 show of DECORATING DISNEY: HOLIDAY MAGIC on Disney+

New schedule, new things….which means I get to hang out tonight at ! I saw the movie at the and now I am having dessert 🍩

I’m now making magic 🪄 on an afternoon schedule (3pms more than 12pms)! I was previously working a “float” schedule. That meant I worked as per production needs at any time during the day (any shift, 4am to Overnight) With this NEW schedule my weekend is now Wednesday & Thursdays. I know this schedule will be more kind to my sleep routine. 😂

I miss you guys! Thanks for staying in touch! Pray for me in this FL heat 🥵😂 AND don’t forget to watch & catch me on the 3rd HOUR TODAY in the morning (5/22)

Sweet Goodbyes.

This post is about our long-time Downtown Goldsboro merchants Yvonnia Moore & Antonio Williams, owners of THE Ice Storm. I was shocked to see them come into the shop to wish us well.

Let me say, they have been a neighbor to me ever since I moved into the Artisan Village. It was my discussions with The Ice Storm and The Village Rising that encouraged my decision to open Piggy Downtown.

I have enjoyed our collabs. I have enjoyed sweetening them with our favs: Southern Butta Pecan Cheesecakes and German Chocolate cake slices.

Ain’t nothing like a good neighbor! I appreciate ya’ll. Yvonnia & Antonio, this is definitely not goodbye but see ya later.

Sweet Goodbyes.

I want to thank my intern for her smile, dedication and recipe for our snickerdoodle-ey Deedee’s Sugar Cookies!

Meet Hadiya. She’s my neice. She was my first employee. It was great having her around during that summer being a part of this small business. Hadiya manned the front of house, baked, cleaned and answered calls. After physically leaving the bakery she still managed our social media messages and also became our social media advisor. She even dropped in to paint the Artisan Village shop.

A big shout out to her & a big hug and kiss for her support during through the years. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
