Here's how to monitor your baby's movements:

Pay attention to your baby’s movements every day - preferably at the same time. Try to pick a time when your baby is normally active.

Time how long it takes your baby to get to 10 movements, and rate the strength of your baby’s movements.

After a few days, you will begin to see an average length of time it takes your baby to reach 10 movements.

Call your provider right away if you notice a change in strength of movements or how long it takes your baby to get to 10 movements.

Use the FREE Count the Kicks app or web counter. Or, visit CountTheKicks.org to download a paper movement monitoring chart.

It’s time to start counting! Send this to your pregnant friends!

A level 4 severe weather risk covers a large part of central Illinois this evening, north of a Beardstown to Bloomington line. The first storms are expected to affect west-central IL by late morning and early afternoon. A second line of severe thunderstorms is expected to move into areas around Galesburg toward 4-5 pm, reaching I-55 around 7 pm and I-70 toward 9 pm. Damaging winds over 70 mph will accompany the strongest storms, and the tornado potential is highest near the Illinois River Valley. Know where to take shelter when storms arrive this evening, and have multiple ways to receive severe weather warnings.

Human milk has a lot of important nutrients. Colostrum, the first milk that comes out after giving birth, helps to protect your baby, as it is rich in antibodies. This can help build their immune system.

They also contain carotenoids lutein and zeaxanthin, which can protect your eyes from chronic diseases! 👀 Peas are also a great source of protein and fiber, helping your body break down carbohydrates and manage your blood sugar! 🌟
This month, try incorporating peas in your family's diet. You can even experiment with different methods of cooking them. Let us know your favorite way! 💭
