Hi everyone! 😊 I thought it was probably time I officially introduced myself!
My name is Courtney, and I’m the person behind The Porch Bakery Gillette. 🧁🤍
I started this little porch bakery a couple of years ago simply because I’ve always loved making treats and creating things for people to enjoy. Before this, I spent quite a while working at the coal mine, and before that I worked construction and other labor jobs. I’ve never been afraid of hard work, but eventually I wanted to create a little side job that would allow me to be closer to home and my kids.
It’s just me and my three kids, and somehow they’re all teenagers now! 😭 I’m realizing more and more how quickly the years go by and how little time I have left before they’re grown and starting lives of their own.
A few years ago, I bought us a fixer-upper that we could work on, make our own, and call home. Between raising kids, keeping up with a house, working, bills, pets, and trying to grow this little bakery, doing it all on my own has definitely been a challenge. It always seems like there’s one more thing, doesn’t it? 😂
But somehow, this little porch bakery has kept going and growing. There are days when I honestly can’t believe I’ve managed to keep it going this long!
So I really just wanted to say thank you. ❤️
Thank you to everyone who has stopped by the porch, bought something I made, came back again, shared my page, told a friend, left a kind comment, or supported my little business in any way. Every single purchase means more than simply selling a treat — you’re supporting this little family of mine and helping me continue doing something I genuinely enjoy while still being here for my kids.
I hope I can keep making The Porch Bakery a fun little place where you can stop by, grab something yummy, and maybe find a new favorite treat. 🥰
Thank you for helping my little porch bakery grow and for being part of our story. I appreciate you all more than you know. 🤍
