“There Seems To Be No Sign Of Intelligent Life Anywhere.” -Buzz Lightyear

Today I got creative and baked a cake for one of my favorite little ones' birthday. When I finished, I sat back and admired the cute little cake, only to realize I'd forgotten the joy of making cakes. It sounds silly, but this past year has been a long haul, and I've been so focused on teaching that I'd forgotten what it's like to bake for fun. So, thanks Buzz for bringing fun back to cake-making and reminding me that, at this point in the school year, sanity is optional.
