Today was everything we hoped our first drop-in workshop would be. The studio filled up with moms, daughters, sons, friends, and family all painting and creating side by side. A day full of fun, beautiful styles, and people taking a few hours just to be together.

Remember when we actually printed photos?

This workshop brings that back. You’ll pick your favorite cover design then paint, stain, and decorate it to make it your own. You’ll also choose your binding, paper, and hardware. Then you’ll print 10 photos right here in the studio to add to your book before you leave.

Lots of cover designs to choose from including wedding, travel, birthday, and more. The kind of thing that ends up on a coffee table for years, not buried in your camera roll.

In this workshop you pick from three styles, choose all your own colors, and build a layered wood flower arrangement from scratch. Five layers of Baltic Birch, all painted and stained by you, sitting on a wood base ready to display.

Mother’s Day is right around the corner and just saying... a handmade bouquet that lasts forever makes a pretty great gift.

Imagine walking into brunch carrying a handbag you crafted with your own hands.

You pick your style, choose your paint or stain colors, and build the whole thing right here in the studio. Want to take it up a notch? Add on a leather liner or extra handles to make it completely yours.

We’ve been a little quiet on here and that’s because we’ve been buried in the studio working on a whole new lineup of spring workshops. New projects, new class dates, and honestly some of our favorite things we’ve created!

Wood handbags. A golf dart board you design yourself. Photo books with hand-painted wood covers. Lanterns, layered signs, flower stands, magnets and cards... we may have gone a little overboard but we’re not sorry about it.

March snow in Gig Harbor. We did not see that coming. ❄️

While we wait for spring to actually show up, we figured now is the perfect time to start making it. 🐰

Spring may not have arrived yet but these workshops have. The Standing Bunnies and the Easter Basket and Tags are both limited time and both are the perfect excuse to get out of the house and make something fun!

And here's the best part about the Easter Basket workshop. You build it, paint it, and personalize the tag with any name you want. Making it for your daughter? Write her name. Your grandson? His name. Yourself? No judgment. 🌸

We officially had our first workshop at MD Studio and I could not be more excited about how it went. 🌸

We brought in a private group to kick things off and watching everyone sit down, build something beautiful, and leave with something they made with their own hands — that is exactly why I created this space.

The best part? Our doors are now open to everyone. We have classes running all through March and we would love to see you at the next one!
