For the past few years, we have been meticulously and lovingly restoring the historic Garlach House at 323 Baltimore Street in Gettysburg, transforming it into a bakery and café where our community can come and enjoy European inspired pastries with a cup of coffee in hand, and experience the warmth of Hearth and Barrels Bakery and the history, character and charm held within its walls.

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about crafting exceptional coffee, takes pride in the little details, and believes that a warm smile and genuine hospitality is just as important as what’s in the cup. If you have strong work ethic and enjoy creating meaningful connections, welcoming guests and being part of a team that values quality, kindness, and professionalism, we’d love to hear from you!

Thank you to all who came out for Gettysburg‘s first ever Breadfest at the Adams County Farmer’s Market. It was a very windy day for sure. It was SO nice to see so many familiar faces that frequented my stand last year along with new faces! I hope all enjoyed their purchases and I’m looking forward to welcoming everyone into my new (and very old) brick and mortar! Stay tuned! 🥮☕️🥐🍑🍓🍋🍐🫐

I am very honored to be able to be part of the Adams County Farmer’s Market - Gettysburg Breadfest tomorrow! I would like to share that I was able to prepare tomorrow’s Cramiques (type of brioche) in my very own, newly certified commercial kitchen in my new shop located at 323 Baltimore St. Gettysburg. After many years of hard work of restoring this old historic building, it finally became a bakery! I’m am very much looking forward to seeing everyone’s faces tomorrow morning (new and old) and serving you some cramiques (brioche) as it being the first item ever baked in my bakery!
