Her husband suffered a severe allergic reaction after a bee sting, going into cardiac arrest which led to an anoxic brain injury. He was airlifted to a specialized hospital, in a coma in the ICU, and barely alive.

His medical teams worked tirelessly to give him the best care. They performed many miracles.

As a police officer, with a K9, Ryan's 4-pawed partner never left his side as he fought to recover. Even in the darkest of times, glimmers of HOPE can be found.
