A Prayer for Our Teachers 🤍🍞

Heavenly Father,
We pray for every teacher who has stepped into this school year ready to love, teach, encourage, and pour into their students.

Two weeks in, give them fresh strength for the days ahead. When they feel tired, remind them that You see the early mornings, late nights, hard days, and little victories.

Give them patience when the classroom feels overwhelming and wisdom when they are unsure of what to do. Fill their classrooms with peace, joy, kindness, and grace.

Remind them that the little things they do each day can make a lasting impact on the child’s life. Give them moments that make them laugh and little reminders that their work truly matters.

Help them give themselves grace on the hard days and remember that they do not have to do everything perfectly. Protect their hearts from burnout and restore them as they continue pouring into others.

Bless their classrooms, their families, and every child they serve this year.

Let them feel seen, appreciated, and covered in prayer today and throughout the school year.

In Jesus name, amen. 🤍

A little bread and a whole lot of prayer for the teachers who give so much of themselves every day. 🍞

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for the people who are tender to Your Spirit.

For the ones who pause and responds when someone comes to mind and wonder, “Lord, are You asking me to reach out?”

For the ones who send the text.

Show up unexpectedly.

Bring the meal.

Pray the prayer right then.

Offer the encouragement.

Thank You for the people who do not always understand why they feel prompted, but choose to trust You anyway. Teach us not to dismiss the gentle nudges of Your Spirit. Give us hearts that are tender enough to hear You and obedient enough to respond.

Because we may never know what that simple act of obedience meant to someone else.

May we never be so busy or distracted that we miss an opportunity You placed right in front of us.

Help us to live with open hands, listening hearts, and a willing spirit to say yes when You ask.

“Do not quench the Spirit.”
1 Thessalonians 5:19

Lord, make us people who hear You and respond.

In Jesus name, Amen. 🤍

While I’ve Been Away 🤍

Though my trial has not been fully resolved yet, I stand firm in my faith, knowing that He has GOOD plans in the meantime!

Sometimes the Lord asks us to pause. Sometimes He calls us to sit in a season of rest that we never would have chosen for ourselves. And somehow, that has become one of the most joyful seasons of my life because He has met me here.

He has met me with grace when I have had questions.
He has given my heart peace when there has been uncertainty.
And most importantly, He has given me JOY to stand in the midst of the trial.

I am so incredibly thankful for the people who have surrounded me, loved me, encouraged me, and prayed for me throughout this season. Your prayers have meant more than you know.

And I want to keep that door open here, too.

We all need prayer. We all have things we are walking through. And none of us were meant to walk through them alone!

So if you ever need prayer, please know that I am here. You can send a message, and I would be honored to pray for you. 🤍

Acts of Loaves was born out of Acts 2, where we see people breaking bread together, sharing life together, and caring for one another.

That is still what I want this little bakery to be.

A place for bread.
A place for blessings and prayer.
A place where we remind one another that we are not alone.

And I am so grateful to be stepping back into the kitchen. 🍞🤍

“They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts.. praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people.”

We’re back. 🤎🍞

After a little season of rest, Acts of Loaves is ready to come back to life, and I am so thankful to be back in the kitchen!

There is something really special about making sourdough bread. It is slow, it takes patience, and it asks you to trust the process. And honestly, that is exactly what I have experienced in this season.

While I have been away, I have been praying, working, and trusting God with what comes next. And now, I am just really grateful to be here again and excited for this next season of Acts of Loaves.

I may have a few things up my sleeve… 👀

🍂 A brand new fall menu
🎁 A very special reopening giveaway
👀 The launch of something NEW for my fellow sourdough lovers…

This little bakery is growing, changing, and becoming even more of what I hoped it could be when I first started it. And I cannot wait to bring you along for what is coming next.

So stay close. 🤎

If you want to make sure you do not miss anything, turn on post notifications on Facebook and Instagram so you can be the first to see what is coming!

There is bread coming. There are blessings coming. And I have a feeling this next season is going to be the best yet. ✝️

Bread & Blessings,
Amanda

Friends, Acts of Loaves will be taking a short pause from baking for the next few weeks.

As I step into a season that requires a little extra rest, I have been especially grateful for every text, message, and prayer. Even if I have not been able to respond to everyone, please know I have felt your love and I am so thankful.

This season has reminded me of something I have always believed: the heart behind Acts of Loaves has never been bread. It has always been sharing Jesus.

The ovens may be quiet for a little while, but prayer is always open.

Scripture tells us to “pray without ceasing” (1 Thessalonians 5:17). We pray because God hears us. We pray because He cares for us. We pray because prayer is where we surrender our worries, strengthen our faith, and fight our battles.

Sometimes God answers immediately. Sometimes He teaches us in the waiting. But He is always faithful.

I would love to continue praying for you too. If you have a prayer request, my inbox is always open.

Thank you for being part of this little community.

One of my favorite things about Acts of Loaves is getting to be part of life’s sweetest moments. 🤍

This week, our cinnamon rolls became a birthday “cake” for a precious young lady turning 13. Eight warm cinnamon rolls stacked together, topped with our classic vanilla frosting, a touch of flowers from the garden, and candles eventually added around the table to celebrate her. 🍒

As I made her order, I found myself praying that this next year of her life would be filled with confidence, joy, wisdom, and the reminder that she is so deeply loved by Jesus, remembering how exciting and tender this chapter of life can be.

I love that bread and baked goods can become more than just something served at the table. They become part of gathering, celebrating, and loving people well.

And honestly, cinnamon rolls make a pretty sweet birthday cake too. 🎂

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for every teacher and every nurse who serves so faithfully each day. Thank You for the way they pour so selflessly into others with love, compassion, and care.

When they feel weary, remind them that their labor in doing good is not in vain, and that in due season there will be a harvest if they do not give up. Renew their strength, Lord, and fill what feels empty. Remind them You are always with them.

For the teachers, give them wisdom, patience, and joy as they guide and shape the hearts before them. For the nurses, be their strength and help, uphold them with steady hands, and remind them they are never alone.

Surround them with a peace that goes beyond understanding, guarding their hearts and minds in You. Let them feel seen, appreciated, and deeply valued, even in the quiet, unseen moments.

Thank You for using them to reflect Your love so beautifully to those around them.

In Jesus name, Amen.

POV: You open the box before gifting it… just to make sure it is perfect. 🤍

Four mini sourdough loaves, slow-fermented and made with care.

A thoughtful way to love on a teacher or nurse this week, with a prayer tucked inside.

Honestly… you might want one for yourself, too.
