📖Storytime.... I seen this little quote last night and it sort of struck me funny and sent me down memory lane. This quote is actually true for me. One of my "signature" drinks as a small girl was "red hot tea". It consisted of red hots and water😂 real gourmet, I know. My grandma let me make it almost every time I went to stay at her house and would faithfully taste it each time I made it♥️

From there it went to mud pies, and oh the dishes I came up with, much to my dad's dismay, his talc powder bucket would suddenly almost be empty in the shop. That powder made the smoothest, loveliest mud pies you ever seen. Id set up a whole bakery in his shop, complete with dirty dishes, glops of mud all over the floor, and cardboard walls. ♥️ Mom would give me almost empty spice containers, which created some interesting smelly leftovers. Buds from her peonies were my meatballs (sorry Mom) 😬, and grass, pinecones, and rocks and so many other things got added.

And now, last night I catered a full meal for 75 people! (That hopefully did not taste like mud pies) All those years of playing pretend turned into this! I'm so grateful to be able to bring joy through food + desserts!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you for trusting me with your events! ♥️

🍬Ferrero Rocher Cake🍬

So I made this today. Even staged it nice and pretty. I'm not a photographer but have to try and make things look professional you know. But let me tell you, this cake is to die for.

See us bakers cut off the tops of cakes to make the cakes all level. Well we can keep those for ourselves if we like. Most of the time I don't, but this time, these are one of my favorite chocolates so I had to try it. And yes. It was delicious. The creamy, crunchy, nutty icing was divine with the chocolate cake.

Anyways, Alyssa Wheeler won this cake on one of my giveaways! Hope she enjoys ♥️

Love + Flour Bakery & Catering will be OPEN Friday October 9th, from 9-6! Address is 801 Cherry Avenue in Gentry, and pickup is located in the little blue building behind the garage. Walk right in, look in the white refrigerator, and pay with cash, cash app, or Venmo! We have things like, cake squares, brownies, carmelitas, cookies, cheesecake, and more!!! AND we will have the Berry Pecan Salad that we had at my store in downtown Siloam. If the salads go over, we may start adding sandwiches and other options down that line! See you soon?!!
