In a perfect world, I would be able to create cookie art for any and everybody who asked. But my full time job, three very involved kiddos, and just plain *life* isn’t allowing for that lately! That being said, since I paused the business in October, I HAVE been able to say YES to my babies and family- and that is something I didn’t always have to ability to do when I was maxed out on orders. It’s truly been a blessing. The guilt and sadness I felt telling my children/family “no” when they asked me to create something for school/fun was just unbearable at times. I’m so overjoyed that I have been able to say YES to family 🩷🥲

All that to say, I was so thankful that I could give a resounding “absolutely” to my sweet Joanne for her grandson. The baby shower honoring Grace and her sweet little boy, Silas, was so incredibly beautiful. And not just beautiful in that it looked amazing in style and aesthetics…it was truly an OUTPOURING of love and support for Grace and her growing family. I could just feel Jesus in that home and I know without a doubt, His hand is over that sweet boy and his health.

So, if you are a praying person, I ask some specific and special prayers over this sweet family.
For Silas, that God would work miracles in and through him. His little heart be repaired. That he’s able to stay baking in his mama’s belly til he is full term, and for a safe delivery. And that there be no necessity for surgery for this sweet babe. Complete and whole healing in Jesus’ mighty name!
For Grace and Dominic, peace that surpasses all understanding, that only God can provide. Rest for their hearts, bodies, and minds. Comfort, calm, and joy to be ever-present in their lives right now, and strength for the days to come. That all of their needs are met through our Great Provider.
And for all who love this family: strength to support them, abounding love to surround them, and their prayers to cover them fully.

Hi, friends! If you’re new to this page and don’t know me personally, let’s catch up. I’m Leah, a Genoa gal with an Oak Harbor heart, who loves Jesus, her family, and baking with a passion 💗
Actually, I think the word “passionate” describes me really well. When I do something, I am all in. Whether it is loving someone, working, or creating cookies, I do it to the best of my ability. We are called to work as if we are working for the Lord, and while I fail miserably sometimes… I really do try my hardest. Which is what brings me to this post.

Just like anyone nowadays, I wear a few hats. I mentioned that family means everything to me- first and foremost I am a wife to an incredibly selfless and devoted man, and mom of three beautiful and very active kiddos. I work full-time as a bedside nurse, and I truly love caring for others. I know God called me to serve others in that way- and I will continue to do so until He leads me otherwise.

While He gave me this amazing love for creating, I know that I need to be a good steward of it. At this point in life, I am not able to wisely care for my God-given gifts (husband, kiddos, stable career) if I continue taking cookie orders. I have been burning the candle at both ends between commitments, activities for the kids, sports practices and games, and the commute for the kids for school and their extracurriculars alone is enough to need a nap afterwards!! I just cannot commit 20-30 hours per week to cookies at this time in life. And that’s ok 🩷

It’s ok because I know that God is nudging me to step back, and He is in control of it all, and He’ll put me back here when He’s ready. After all, God gave me this to use for His glory! But for right now, I’m going to give my all to my biggest responsibilities and blessings- my family.

Thank you for your continued support and love along this journey of mine. It’s been more than a blessing to me! 💞

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways, submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.

This beautiful little soul made a loud expression of her faith today and was BAPTIZED! We could not be more proud of the precious, loving, genuine, and kind-hearted young woman she is becoming. Aly truly has a heart of gold, and shines the light of the Lord in ways that leave me awestruck. May the Lord continue to bless her as she grows in her faith, closer to Him!

Aly was the best client to work with 😉💜
Definitely my most meaningful, memorable, and from-the-heart set I’ve made.

We celebrated my sweet family’s summer birthdays tonight and let me tell you Kake by Kendall did NOT disappoint! Not only do her cupcakes taste as amazing as they look, she is the absolute sweetest gal to work with! Look at these amazing works of art- so beautiful! Incredible variety, flavors, artistry, textures, the whole nine. The cake is light and the taste is delicious- I’ve already booked her for our next event 💕 (you should, too! 😉)

🌻 Fifty years with the love of your life 💛 what an absolutely amazing blessing! It was truly an honor to make this set for my sweet friend. Fifty years is an inspirational feat to accomplish in a marriage- here’s to many more! Congratulations, Mary Jo Bish and Jerry!
