Saturday, June 6th, can you believe it, it is almost here and we are all getting prepared for our opening day🤗.

I myself have the new labels done, packaging ordered, ingredients bought and Betty Lou(aka Kitchen Aide) may need to be upgraded, but she’s going to give it a whirl here tomorrow. I just need to put a few things out here for everyone to understand.

I love to post as the week goes on to show what I will be bringing to market, as much as I dislike doing it, when someone messages me to hold items back on Saturday morning, and I have done it, then customers show up early and I may only have a couple out, because I’m holding some back. This happened a lot during winter markets, I just felt horrible, so I made the “corporate” decision not do it. Please don’t get me wrong, I am ALWAYS happy to take special orders and have it for you but I need to know at least a week before market. Unfortunately it’s all about time, prepping for items and the time I have to bake is limited. I do “thank” the customers that sent me messages over a week ago of what they wanted for pickup on Saturday, it is greatly appreciated.

Soooo….lets get together again for our Saturday morning meetings and spread the 💛💛💛 of sweets! You all are the BEST🧡

📚✏️ Geneseo Police Department School Supply Drive ✏️📚

The Geneseo Police Department is proud to partner in supporting the Geneseo-Atkinson Food Pantry and local families in need through our annual School Supply Drive!

🗓️ Dates: June 1st – July 31st
📍 Drop Off Location: Front Lobby of the Geneseo Police Department
Each year, the Geneseo-Atkinson Food Pantry puts together backpacks filled with school supplies for students in need within the Geneseo School District. We would like to do our part to help ensure every child starts the school year prepared and confident.
Community members can drop off supplies at the Police Department lobby or directly at the Food Pantry during business hours. Supplies may also be purchased through the Food Pantry’s Amazon School Supplies Wish List and shipped directly to them.

🎒 School supplies will be distributed to Geneseo School District students in need during the first week of August.

📞 Families in need of assistance should contact the Geneseo-Atkinson Food Pantry at 309-944-3165.

Tomorrow is the big day, Geneseo’s Wine Walk🍷, I am excited to bring you three of my fan favorites, you will get to choose from either the Chocolate Coca Cola Cake, Rhubarb Crumb Cake, or a best seller, Sugar Cookie, All you need to do is present your ticket for a tasty treat. I will be set up in The Ugly Duckling. I hope you enjoy the experience of this event and l hope you enjoy a savory sweet treat💚🤍💚

When your farmers market neighbor, Andrea from Mullo Matchiko Farms, text you and said her chickens🐓🐓 have been laying so many 🥚🥚🥚, she did not know what to do with them all, so of course I said, I’ll take some, well….she made a special delivery to me tonight with 240 🥚🥚🥚🤭, let’s see how long it will take me to use that number of eggs. Thanks Andrea for making the trip, and of course she’ll have eggs available at the farmers market, starting June 6th, plus her staple Honey🐝.

I had the pleasure along with two other former coworkers, to be up at the park bright and early this morning to honor a former boss of just shy of 37 years, as they raised his flag for the first time since his passing. If you’ve all been up to the Geneseo City Park on Memorial Day🇺🇸, you understand the sacrifice that so many men and woman have done for us. I hope everyone has enjoyed this beautiful day☀️ and was able to take in the sights of our beautiful park🇺🇸, which we will begin our first outdoor market of the season in just a little over a week. (PS….im not sure if I’m ready for all the late nights, but I know you all will be😊)❤️🤍💙❤️🤍💙
