Caffeine and Carbs My name is Kelly Wolf. I was born and raised in Geneseo. Graduated from JD Darnall, class of 2005. I always had the idea of opening up a coffee shop in Geneseo.

I studied Hospitality and Tourism Management at Purdue University. I spent the last 12 years in Houston, Texas working at the convention center. I would have loved one here growing up. However, there was always excuses to the question of “Why not now?”. COVID-19 devastated the convention industry and I eventually found myself laid off. Looking for a new job, it hit me that there were no more excus

es to the question of “Why not now?”. So, I sold my house in Houston and moved back to Geneseo! The idea of the coffee shop morphed into a coffee shop and bakery since I wanted to make the muffins, scones and cupcakes in house. Coupling my mom’s baking experience with my business experience, the idea seemed like a no brainer. Although 7 months doesn’t seem like a long time from the first meeting to doors opening, it seemed to take FOREVER! It was a lot of work and a lot of learning along the way, but 100% worth it.
